Stadt Wehlen is a station on the Dresden to Děčín line that serves the town of Stadt Wehlen in the German state of Saxony. The station is located on the south bank of the Elbe and is connected to the town, which lies on the north bank, by the Stadt Wehlen passenger ferry. The station is served by the Dresden S-Bahn S1 service. Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt Railway
The Děčín–Dresden railway, also called the Elbe Valley Railway (German: ''Elbtalbahn'') is an electrified main line in Saxony and the Czech Republic. Formerly called the Saxon-Bohemian State Railway (''Sächsisch-Böhmische Staatseisenbahn''), the line is part of the Dresden to Prague route and is one of Europe's most important trunk routes (''Magistralen''). It runs along the Elbe Valley from Děčín via Bad Schandau and Pirna to Dresden. The first section of the line was opened in 1848 and is one of the oldest lines in Germany. The Stadt Wehlen ferry is a passenger ferry across the Elbe river in Germany. The ferry connects the town of Stadt Wehlen, which lies on the northern bank of the Elbe, with the southern bank, where the town's railway station is located. Dresden S-Bahn
The Dresden S-Bahn is a network of S-Bahn-type commuter train services in Dresden and the surrounding area. It is commissioned by Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe (VVO) from DB Regio ''Verkehrsbetrieb Südostsachsen'' and currently consists of three services operating over a network. The S-Bahn fare structure was introduced on a series of suburban railway lines on 29 September 1974. The term "S-Bahn" has only officially been used for the system since 31 May 1992. Bad Schandau (; hsb, Žandow) is a spa town in Germany, in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district of Saxony. It is situated on the right bank of the Elbe, at the mouth of the valley of the Kirnitzsch and in the area often described as Saxon Switzerland.
