Stadionul Ideal
The Ideal Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Cernavodă, Romania. The stadium has a capacity of 721 seats and is currently used mostly for football matches, mainly of the local football club, Axiopolis Cernavodă. Cernavodă
Cernavodă () is a town in Constanța County, Northern Dobruja, Romania with a population of 15,088 as of 2021. The town's name is derived from the Bulgarian ''černa voda'' ( in Cyrillic), meaning 'black water'. This name is regarded by some scholars as a calque of the earlier Thracian name ''Axíopa'', from IE *''n̥ksei'' 'dark' and ''upā'' 'water' (cf. Avestan ''axšaēna-'' 'dark' and Lithuanian ''ùpė'' 'river, creek'). Economy The town is a Danube fluvial port. It houses the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, consisting of two CANDU reactors providing about 18% of Romania's electrical energy output. CS Axiopolis Cernavodă
Clubul Sportiv Axiopolis Cernavodă, commonly known as Axiopolis Cernavodă, or simply as Axiopolis, is a Romanian football club based in Cernavodă, Constanța County, currently playing in the Liga III. Axipolis was originally founded in 1927, under the name of ''Mercur Cernavodă'' and played its first home ground match in 1930. After the end of World War II the club was re-founded as ''Dunărea Cernavodă'' and for the next approx. 20 years played mostly at county and regional level under various names, such as ''Ideal Cernavodă'', ''Progresul Cernavodă'', ''Constructorul Cernavodă'' or ''Dunărea Cernavodă''.
