Stadio Silvio Appiani
Stadio Silvio Appiani is a multi-use stadium in Padua, Italy. It was initially used as the stadium of Calcio Padova matches. It was replaced by Stadio Euganeo in 1994. The capacity of the stadium was 24,000 spectators. The name is chosen in honour of Silvio Appiani. Since 2015 it is one of Calcio Padova's training grounds and hosts some youth games. Stadio Appiani
Stadio (literally, ''Stadium'') is an Italian pop rock band formed in 1977. The members are Giovanni Pezzoli (drums), Roberto Drovandi (bass guitar), Andrea Fornili (guitar), and Gaetano Curreri (vocals and keyboard). Formation and early recordings The group had a long-standing arrangement as an accompanying band to Lucio Dalla, a Bologna-born singer. Stadio had its first notable public appearance in the mid-1970s, when the group appeared on Lucio Dalla's 1975 collaborative album with Roberto Roversi, '' Anidride Solforosa'' (Italian for "sulfur dioxide"). The members of Stadio on this album were Giovanni Pezzoli playing the drums, Marco Nanni playing the bass and Fabio Liberators playing the keyboard. The same musicians were featured on Dalla's 1977 album ''Com'è profondo il mare'' (How deep is the sea?). Calcio Padova, commonly referred to as Padova, is an Italian football club based in Padua, Veneto. Founded in 1910, Padova currently play in , having last been in Serie A in 1996. The team's official colours are white and red. The team was refounded in 2014 after the sports title was awarded to Biancoscudati Padova for the 2014–15 Serie D season as a phoenix club. The old holder of the title was in the process of liquidation after it was expelled from 2014–15 Lega Pro. Stadio Euganeo
Stadio Euganeo is a football stadium in Padua, Italy. It is also used for athletics, concerts, rugby league and rugby union. It replaced the old and historical Appiani stadium. From 1994 to the present, it is the home of Calcio Padova. It has a total capacity of 32,420. Due to strict Italian laws about security in football matches, for football only the stadium capacity can be reduced to 18,060 places. It also played temporary host to Treviso for their first few matches in Serie A in the 2005–06 season, as their ground, Stadio Omobono Tenni, was deemed unfit; and to Cittadella, when playing her first two Serie B championships in the 2000–01 and 2001–02 seasons. Silvio Appiani (5 April 1894 – 20 October 1915) was an Italian football forward. The Stadio Silvio Appiani in Padua was named after him. Career Appiani made his debut on 4 May 1913 with Padova in the ''Campionato Veneto di Promozione''. In the 1913–14 season he played 2 games: Against Petrarca and against Udinese. In 1914, Calcio Padova won the ''Campionato Veneto-Emiliano di Promozione'' and went to the ''Prima Categoria dell'Italia Settentrionale'' reaching fourth place behind Vicenza, Hellas Verona and Venezia. Appiani was the driver and gunner of the team and scored 18 goals in 14 games. In 1915 he won the ''Coppa Veneta''.
