Stadio San Filippo - Franco Scoglio (''Saint Philip Stadium'') is a football stadium in Messina, Italy. It is currently the home of A.C.R. Messina. History The stadium was initially commissioned at the start of the 1990s, but was not finished until 2004. It was officially opened on August 17, 2004 with Messina playing host to Juventus in a match they lost 1–0. The first official match was a week later, on August 22, the Coppa Italia match Messina–Acireale (4–0). It replaced the old 11,900 seat Stadio Comunale Giovanni Celeste, which is currently the home ground of the new club of S.S.D. Città di Messina. Atsushi Yanagisawa
is a Japanese former professional association football, footballer who played as a forward (association football), forward. He played for Japan national football team, Japan national team. Alexandru Dan Tudor (born 13 September 1971) is a retired Romanian football referee. Fabrizio Miccoli (; born on 27 June 1979) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a striker. He scored 103 goals in 259 matches in Serie A across nine seasons, representing Perugia, Juventus, Fiorentina and Palermo, also spending time on loan to Benfica in Portugal. The 2004–05 Serie A (known as the Serie A TIM for sponsorship reasons) was the 103rd season of top-tier Italian football, the 73rd in a round-robin tournament. It was expanded to contain 20 clubs, which played 38 matches against each other, rather than the 34 matches in previous seasons, while relegations were reduced to three. The Coppa Campioni d'Italia was presented to the winners on the pitch for the first time. The first two teams qualified directly to UEFA Champions League, teams ending in the third and fourth places had to play Champions League qualifications, teams ending in the fifth and sixth places qualified to UEFA Cup (another spot was given to the winner of Coppa Italia), while only the last three teams were to be relegated in Serie B, the Italian second division, following a regulations change. Vincenzo Montella (; born 18 June 1974) is an Italian retired footballer and current manager, who played as a striker. He is current manager of Süper Lig club Adana Demirspor. Domenico Giampà (born 15 February 1977) is an Italian association football coach and former midfielder. Playing career A versatile central midfielder, Giampà started his career with Catanzaro. In 2004 he won his first Serie A promotion with Sicilian club Messina, doing his top flight debut in the following 2004–05 Serie A season. Salvatore "Sasà" Sullo (born 23 October 1971) is an Italian football coach and a former midfielder.
