Luca Carboni
Luca Carboni (born 12 October 1962) is an Italian singer-songwriter. He debuted in 1981 as guitarist in the band Teobaldi Rock, publishing his first solo album in 1983. He is also a painter and carpenter. Biography Carboni was born in Bologna. In 1976, at 14, he founded the band Teobaldi Rock, with the role of guitarist and songwriter. In 1980 the band took part in the Bologna Rock 80 festival; the following year they released the first and last single, "L.N."/"Odore d'inverno". Carboni's road changed when the Stadio read his lyrics and asked him a song for their first album. The song was entitled "Navigando controvento" and appeared in the album ''Stadio'' (1982). The Sanremo Music Festival 1984 was the 34th annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo, province of Imperia, between 2 and 4 February 1984 and broadcast by Rai 1. The show was presented by Pippo Baudo, who also served as the artistic director, assisted by Iris Peynado, Elisabetta Gardini, Tiziana Pini and Edy Angelillo. Lucio Dalla
Lucio Dalla (; 4 March 1943 – 1 March 2012) was an Italian singer-songwriter, musician and actor. He also played clarinet and keyboards. Dalla was the composer of " Caruso" (1986), a song dedicated to Italian opera tenor Enrico Caruso, and "L'anno che verrà" (1979). Beginnings Dalla was born in Bologna, Italy. He began to play the clarinet at an early age, in a jazz band in Bologna, and became a member of a local jazz band called Rheno Dixieland Band, together with future film director Pupi Avati. Avati said that he decided to leave the band after feeling overwhelmed by Dalla's talent. He also acknowledged that his film, ''Ma quando arrivano le ragazze?'' Roberto Roversi
Roberto Roversi (28 January 1923 – 14 September 2012) was an Italian poet, writer and journalist. Biography Born in Bologna, he participated as an adolescent to the Italian resistance movement in Piedmont. From 1948 to 2006 he managed the antiquarian bookshop Libreria Palmaverda in Bologna. In 1955, together with Francesco Leonetti and Pier Paolo Pasolini, he founded the magazine ''Officina''. In 1961 he started another literary magazine, ''Rendiconti''. In the same period, Roversi decided to stop selling his works to large publishers, and distributed them autonomously, often in amateur printing editions. The Festivalbar was an Italian singing competition that took place in the most important Italian squares during summer, such as the Piazza del Duomo, Catania or Piazza Bra, Verona. The first edition took place in 1964 and was broadcast by RAI. The competition was held throughout the summer and the final round always took place at the Arena in Verona after 3-4 events in various cities of Italy. History Originally, the Festivalbar was a competition made with data from jukeboxes in Italian bars, so the competition was a one evening event transmitted by RAI. From 1983, Mediaset started to transmit this programme and the Festivalbar would change its location every week. The original promoter of the Festivalbar was Vittorio Salvetti. After his death in 1998, his son Andrea took the reins.
