Stacy Johnson (singer)
Stacy Johnson (April 13, 1945 – May 11, 2017) was an American R&B singer and songwriter best known as a vocalist in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. Johnson also released solo records and sang in the St. Louis based group the Sharpees led by Benny Sharp. Life and career Johnson was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 13, 1945. Johnson, the oldest of six, began singing in locals groups around Soldan High School. Johnson admired Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, the Spaniels, and Little Anthony and the Imperials. In 1958, he joined the doo-wop group the Superiors. They began appearing in local talent shows. The Superiors competed against other groups with Oliver Sain's band backing them. Dave Dixon, a popular disc jockey at KATZ, hosted "Shower of Stars," a competition for aspiring singers and musicians. Miss Utah
The Miss Utah competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Utah in the Miss America competition. Two Miss Utah titleholders have won the Miss America pageant. Paris Matthews of Salt Lake City was crowned Miss Utah 2024 on June 15, 2024, at the Capitol Theatre in Salt Lake City, Utah. She will compete for the title of Miss America 2025. Stacy May-Johnson
Stacy May-Johnson (born Stacy Margarita May; May 15, 1984) is an American, former collegiate, three-time professional All-Star softball player and current head coach at Fresno State. She played college softball for Iowa, being named a three-time all-conference third baseman and shortstop. May-Johnson was selected twelfth overall in the National Pro Fastpitch, eventually playing for the Chicago Bandits. She was named the inaugural Rookie of the Year in 2006 and a two-time Player of the Year in 2008 and 2010 for the league. She also helped the Bandits to win two championships and ranks in the top-10 in career hits (267) and home runs (38). Career College At the University of Iowa, May-Johnson played on the Iowa Hawkeyes softball team from 2003 to 2006 at third base and shortstop. Stacey Johnson (fencer)
Stacey Rita Johnson is a former Olympic fencer and recipient of the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award. Fencing Johnson began fencing competitively at age 11, and by age 16 she had secured her first spot on an international team. From 1973 to 1975, Johnson was a member of three Junior World Teams, competing in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Istanbul, Turkey; and Mexico City, Mexico. From 1976 to 1979, she was a four-time All American and four-time National Collegiate Team Champion, winning the National Collegiate Championship in 1976 and 1979, and amassing the Collegiate individual record for team wins over losses, at 305 to 1. She was also a member of the World University Games Teams in 1977 and 1979. Johnson earned a spot on the 1980 U.S. Olympic Fencing Team, but the team did not compete due to the 1980 Summer Olympics boycott.
