John Stabb (musician)
John Dukes Schroeder (July 12, 1961 – May 7, 2016), known professionally as John Stabb, was an American punk rock vocalist and frontman, best known as a founding member of the hardcore punk band Government Issue. He was also active in several other bands, including Betty Blue, The Factory Incident, Stabb, Stain, Emma Peel, Weatherhead, and History Repeated. Stabb was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Rockville, Maryland, where he attended Colonel Zadok A. Magruder High School. In addition to his music career, he occasionally acted and was a freelance writer for Washington City Paper and Forced Exposure. Personal life Stabb married long-time partner Mina Devadas on St. Patrick’s Day 2016 while staying at Holy Cross Hospital (Silver Spring). After a 112-day battle with stomach cancer, he died at a hospice in Rockville, Maryland, on May 7, 2016, at age 54. Career He joined the Singapore branch of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation as a junior and transfer to Shanghai in 1895 and to Hong Kong in 1903. In 1906, he was appointed agent at Saigon and in 1909 he returned to London as sub-manager of the home office. Chris Stabb
Christopher Stabb (born 12 October 1976) is an English footballer, who plays for Bradford Park Avenue. Career Born in Bradford, Chris Stabb began his footballing career in the Bradford City academy. In 1997, he moved to neighbours Farsley Celtic but joined Ossett Town in 1998. He re-joined Farsley Celtic in 2002 where he has played ever since. He was the club's captain for a few years before fellow defender Carl Serrant took the armband. Stabb experienced the club's rise up the leagues featuring three promotions in four years. He missed the club's 2007–08 season in the Conference National due to a knee injury which threatened his future in football. George Stabb
George Herbert Stabb (26 September 1912 – 11 December 1994) was an English footballer who played for Torquay United, Notts County, Port Vale, and Bradford Park Avenue in the 1930s. Career Stabb played for Dartmouth United and Paignton Town before joining Torquay United in September 1931. He scored three goals in 12 Third Division South games in 1931–32. He claimed his first goal in the Football League on 7 September in a 10–2 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage. He went on to score 26 goals in 45 appearances in the 1932–33 season to finish as the club's top-scorer. He scored a hat-trick in an 8–1 win over Southend United at Plainmoor on 10 September and bagged another hat-trick in a 3–2 victory over Watford on 18 March. He then went on to score 15 goals in 1933–34 as he finished as the "Gulls" top-scorer for a second successive season. He then moved on to Notts County. The English Football Hall of Fame is housed at the National Football Museum in Manchester, England. The Hall aims to celebrate and highlight the achievements of the all-time top English footballing talents, as well as non-English players and managers who have become significant figures in the history of the English game.
