Margaret Manion
Margaret Mary Manion (7 March 1935 – 3 September 2024) was an Australian art historian and curator recognised internationally for her scholarship on the art of the illuminated manuscript. She published on Medieval and Renaissance liturgical and devotional works, in particular, on Books of Hours – the ''Wharncliffe Hours'', the ''Aspremont-Kievraing Hours'', the ''Très Riches Heures''. Peter Corrigan
Peter Russell Corrigan (6 May 1941 – 1 December 2016) was an Australian architect and was involved in the completion of works in stage and set design. Background Education Corrigan was educated at Christian Brothers College, St Kilda and then completed his degree in architecture, in 1966 at Melbourne University. He further pursued his studies at Yale University in 1969, completing a master's degree in Environmental Design. Architecture career After working for Philip Johnson, Paul Rudolf, César Pelli and Kevin Roche in New Haven, he returned to Australia in 1974 where he formed his practice, Edmond and Corrigan, a partnership with his wife, Maggie Edmond, initiated in 1975. Maggie Edmond
Margaret Leonie Edmond (née Suchestow; born 11 June 1946) is an Australian architect. Education and formative years As a child, Edmond's family lived in houses designed by notable Australian architects—the Bridgeford House in Black Rock, designed by Robin Boyd in 1953; and the Quamby apartments in South Yarra, designed by Roy Grounds. She has reflected on this upbringing, noting that "from a very early age I was aware that houses I had lived in differed from those of my friends". Edmond studied architecture at University of Melbourne alongside her first husband, landscape architect Robin Edmond (1943—2008). She completed her Bachelor of Architecture in 1969. The Allan and Maria Myers Academic Centre is a residential college library and resource centre, serving the communities of St Mary's College and Newman College, University of Melbourne. The creation of the academic centre was supported by philanthropists Allan Myers and Maria Myers, who were residents of Newman College and St Mary's College respectively. David Penington
David Geoffrey Penington (4 February 1930 – 6 January 2023) was an Australian doctor, academic and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Melbourne. Biography Penington was educated at Carey Baptist Grammar School, and later Scotch College, Melbourne (1940–1947). He obtained BM.Bch and later Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Oxford and a Doctorate in Laws (Hon.) at the University of Melbourne. He initially had a career in medicine in the United Kingdom at the London Hospital between 1957 and 1967, and also in Harley Street until 1967. He was then Professor of Medicine from 1970 to 1987 at the University of Melbourne, and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine between 1978 and 1985.
