The Society of Saint Margaret (SSM) is an order of women in the Anglican Church. The Anglican religious order, religious order is active in England, Haiti, Sri Lanka, and the United States of America, United States and formerly Scotland. History The Sisters of St Margaret were founded in 1855 by the Reverend John Mason Neale at Rotherfield, England. The society had a difficult start. Great Barr Hall is an 18th-century mansion situated in the Great Barr district of Pheasey, historically in Staffordshire and now part of Walsall, West Midlands, England. It has associations with the Lunar Society and is a Grade II listed building. It is, however, in a very poor state of repair and is on the Buildings at Risk Register. St Margaret's GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the St. Margaret's area of north County Dublin, near Dublin Airport. The club, which was founded in 1908, has its grounds at Kilreesk. The club has 3 adult teams, a minor boys team, 4 ladies teams and 5 juvenile teams. The club won the first of many Fingal Championships in 1928 and further victories followed in 1957, 1958, 1963, 1965, 1979, 1981, 1987, 1988 and 1994. During the late 1930s and early 1940s, St Margaret's had a three-in-a-row win in the Loving Cup from 1937 to 1939, and success in the Dublin Junior Football Championship in 1940. The latter brought St. Margaret's to Senior football, a grade in which they remained until 2003. Further success was achieved when the St. Vincent de Paul was secured in 1962 and the Senior League Division 3 was won in 1985. Several St. Margaret's players have represented Dublin over the years. Stanstead St Margarets, often abbreviated to just St Margarets, is a village and civil parish in the district of East Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire, England. It is located halfway between the towns of Hoddesdon and Ware. The village is separated from the village of Stanstead Abbotts by the River Lea, and had a population of 1,318 at the census of 2001, increasing to 1,652 at the 2011 Census. Geography The Greenwich Meridian (longitude 0°) passes through the village with its exact position marked by Meridian obelisks which were erected in 1984 to commemorate the centenary of the adoption of the prime meridian line. St Margaret's Hope is a village in the Orkney Islands, off the north coast of Scotland. It is known locally as The Hope or The Hup.
