St James College (Brisbane)
St James College is an independent Catholic secondary day school for boys and girls, located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. St James College, informally known as ''Jimmies'', was established in 1868 with only 12 students and is the oldest Catholic boys' school in Queensland. In 1893, the Congregation of Christian Brothers agreed to take over the school following major economic depression, the government's refusal to pay staff wages and inconsistent student enrolment. , the co-educational school had an enrolment of approximately 520 students from Year 7 to Year 12. Graham Quirk
Graham Michael Quirk (born c. 1958) is a former Australian politician who served as the 16th Lord Mayor of Brisbane. From 2008 until 2011, he was Deputy Lord Mayor under Campbell Newman, succeeding the latter when Newman stepped down to prepare to contest the 2012 Queensland State Election, at which he was elected as the Premier of Queensland. Ross Henrick
Ross Henrick (7 December 1954 – 8 May 2005) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. Nicknamed "The Angry Ant", he was a Queensland State of Origin representative halfback, and played club football in the Brisbane Rugby League premiership for Fortitude Valley, Norths and Redcliffe. Henrick played at halfback and scored a try in Norths' victory in the 1980 Brisbane Rugby League Grand Final. Henrick was Wally Lewis' partner in the halves for Queensland's victory in the 1981 State of Origin game, the second ever.
