St Cenydd Comprehensive School
St. Cenydd School is located in Caerphilly, South Wales. Situated in extensive grounds, with panoramic views of the semi-rural Caerphilly basin, St. Cenydd is a popular, mixed, 11-18 community school of over 1,100 pupils. Sporting Honours St Cenydd Year 11 Rugby squad won the Caerphilly county rugby cup in the 2014 - 2015 season by defeating local rivals St Martin's comprehensive. It was a hotly contested match with St Cenydd holding onto their lead to win the cup. George Gasson a former pupil at St Cenydd, is now playing rugby at a high level. He has even been selected in the U-18s and U-20s squad for wales. He currently plays for Newport Gwent Dragons. Thomas Payne completed a 5 km run in under 30 minutes on his park run debut. Caerphilly
Caerphilly (, ; cy, Caerffili, ) is a town and community in Wales. It is situated at the southern end of the Rhymney Valley. It is north of Cardiff and northwest of Newport. It is the largest town in Caerphilly County Borough, and lies within the historic borders of Glamorgan, on the border with Monmouthshire. At the 2011 Census, the town had a population of 41,402 while the wider Caerphilly Local Authority area has a population of 178,806. Vikki Howells
Vikki Howells is a Welsh Labour politician and former teacher. Since May 2016, she has been the Member of the Senedd for Cynon Valley. Early life and education Howells was brought up in Cwmbach, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. She was educated at St John the Baptist School, a Church in Wales secondary school in Aberdare. She studied international and Welsh history at the University of Wales, Cardiff, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She remained at Cardiff to undertake postgraduate study in Modern Welsh History, and graduated with a Master of Arts degree.
