St Albans Shirley FC is an association football club in Christchurch, New Zealand. The Men's First team competes in Mainland Football's Senior Men's Division 1 and has previously competed in the Canterbury Championship League. The Women's First team competes in a joint enterprise with Coastal Spirit, where they compete the Women's South Island Qualifying League and were successful to make it into the South Island League. The club is based at St Albans Park, around the road from English Park. Between 1988–1991 and 1994, the club participated in the Southern League Two North. The men's first team also participates in the Chatham Cup, New Zealand's premier knockout tournament and the English Cup, Canterbury's knockout tournament. St Albans is a large, inner-northern suburb of Christchurch, New Zealand, located directly north of the Christchurch Central Business District. It is the second largest suburb in the city by population (behind Halswell), with a population of 13,137 at the 2018 Census. The Kate Sheppard Cup, currently known as the New Zealand Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup for sponsorship purposes, is New Zealand's premier Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament in women's association football. The 2024 Mainland Football Leagues was the 25th season of football in the Mainland Football federation. There are four main men's leagues and four main women's leagues. The main men's leagues are Southern League, Canterbury Premiership League, Nelson Bays Premiership League, and Canterbury Championship League, respectively tier 2, 3, 3 and 4 among New Zealand men's league system. Western Springs AFC is an association football club in Westmere, Auckland. Western Springs AFC is one of New Zealand's largest clubs. Both the Senior Women's and Senior Men's teams currently play in the Northern League. The Western Springs' home ground is at Seddon Field on Meola Road in Westmere and also play home games at Cox's Bay, Walker Park and Eastdale Reserve. 2023 Kate Sheppard Cup
The 2023 Kate Sheppard Cup is New Zealand's women's 29th annual knockout football competition. This is the fifth year that the competition is known by the Kate Sheppard Cup, or ''New Zealand Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup'' for sponsorship purposes, after previously been known as the Women's Knockout Cup since its establishment. The cup has had thirteen different winners lift the trophy over its 28-year history with Lynn-Avon United from Auckland being the most successful and Auckland United being the current holders from the 2022 season. The 2023 competition has four rounds before quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. Cashmere Technical is an association football club based in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was formed in early 2012 from the merger of two of the city's premier teams, Cashmere Wanderers and Woolston Technical. The two clubs had agreed to work together in early 2011, and the 2011 Christchurch earthquake which devastated their home city and resulted in the loss of many playing facilities hastened their merger into a combined side.
