St. Pius X High School (Albuquerque)
St. Pius X High School is a private, Roman Catholic middle and high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was established in 1956. It is administered in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Santa Fe. The school is located on Albuquerque's west side, on the campus that was formerly the location of the University of Albuquerque. St. Pius X is a co-educational institution that serves over 900 students in grades six through twelve. History St. Pius X High School was founded in 1956 with 116 freshmen composing its first class. St. Pius was initially housed at St Charles Elementary School until the completion of a new campus in the Northeast Heights in the fall of 1959. Dennis Coleman Jett (born 1945) is an American diplomat and academic. He served as the United States ambassador to Mozambique and Peru under the Clinton administration and is currently a professor of international relations at the School of International Affairs at The Pennsylvania State University. Jacob Rodney Candelaria (born 1987) is an American politician and attorney who served as a member of the New Mexico Senate for the 26th district from 2013 to 2022. First elected in 2012 as a Democrat, he later left the party in 2021 to become an independent. Cisco McSorley
Cisco A. McSorley (born July 8, 1950) is an American attorney and politician who served as a member of the New Mexico Senate for the 16th district from 1997 to 2019. He was previously member of the New Mexico House of Representatives from 1984 to 1996. Education McSorley was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended St. Pius X High School.
