Michael, also called Saint Michael the Archangel, Archangel Michael and Saint Michael the Taxiarch is an archangel and the warrior of God in Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. St. Michael Academy is a private, sectarian, non-stock Catholic secondary school in Catarman, Northern Samar, Philippines. It is the first and only Catholic learning institution established in the city, owned and operated by the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena - Philippines; thus, the only Dominican educational institution found in the Samar - Leyte region operating since 1946. St Michael's Academy was a Roman Catholic secondary school in Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, Scotland. The secondary school served the Roman Catholic community of the towns of Irvine and Kilwinning and the villages of Beith, Kilbirnie and Dalry, which make up the Garnock Valley. Opened in Irvine in 1921, and located in Kilwinning from 1965, the school held over 800 pupils and 200 members of staff. When St Michael's closed in 2007, a staff committee compiled a history of the 86 years, a paperback which sold out of 1000 copies in six months. Most (95%) of its contents were then adapted for the web by a now-retired staff member - the link is shown below. Saint Michael's Academy is an American day and boarding school for girls from kindergarten through twelfth grade located in Spokane, Washington, United States, and administered by the Congregation of Mary Immaculate Queen, a Sedevacantist Traditionalist Catholic religious congregation. Mount Saint Michael Academy
Mount Saint Michael Academy is an all-boys' private, catholic, college preparatory school in the Wakefield neighborhood of the New York City borough of the Bronx. The school's campus also borders the city of Mount Vernon in neighboring Westchester County and is administered by the Archdiocese of New York. The school opened on September 13, 1926, originally staffed by fourteen Marist Brothers, and dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel. The U.S. Department of Education named it a National Blue Ribbon School in 1992. Sexual abuse cases In 1988, an Irish-born Catholic priest and a Marist brother were indicted on charges they sexually abused boys at the school. Irish Reverend Bernárd Lynch, who served as the chaplain, and Brother Timothy Brady, the acting principal, were accused of molesting three boys.
