St. Charles Chill
The St. Charles Chill was a minor league ice hockey team and member of the Central Hockey League that began play during the 2013–14 season on October 19, 2013 as the affiliate of the National Hockey League's St. Louis Blues and the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves. Based in St. Charles, Missouri, the Chill played its home games at the Family Arena. The Chill was the second hockey team to call St. Charles home following the Missouri River Otters, which played in the United Hockey League from 1999 until folding in 2006. History On August 1, 2012, the CHL announced that the former Laredo Bucks franchise had been transferred to new ownership headed by Gustavo Hernandez, Alfonso Arguindegui and Glenn Hart, with plans to relocate the team to St. Charles, taking up the "St. Charles Chill" name. Central Hockey League
The Central Hockey League (CHL) was a North American mid-level minor professional ice hockey league which operated from 1992 until 2014. It was founded by Ray Miron and Bill Levins and later sold to Global Entertainment Corporation, which operated the league from 2000 to 2013, at which point it was purchased by the individual franchise owners. As of the end of its final season in 2014, three of the 30 National Hockey League teams had affiliations with the CHL: the Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, and Tampa Bay Lightning. Several teams of defunct leagues joined the CHL along its history, including the Southern Hockey League (1995–96), Southern Hockey League, Western Professional Hockey League and International Hockey League (2007–2010), International Hockey League. The Quad City Mallards were a minor league professional ice hockey team based in the Quad Cities area of Illinois and Iowa that competed in the United Hockey League, International Hockey League, Central Hockey League and ECHL. They were named after the Quad City Mallards (1995–2007), Mallards team that played in the United Hockey League from 1995 to 2007, this Mallards franchise marked their debut in 2009 in the United Hockey League, International Hockey League. Brett Andrew Hull (born August 9, 1964) is a Canadians, Canadian–Americans, American former ice hockey player and general manager, and currently an executive vice president of the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played for the Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, and Arizona Coyotes, Phoenix Coyotes between 1986 and 2005. Bart Hull
Bart Hull (born February 13, 1969) is a former running back in the Canadian Football League. He is the son of famed Canadian hockey legend Bobby Hull, nephew of Dennis Hull and younger brother of Brett Hull. Hull had a prolific high school athletic career at Vancouver College High School in Vancouver, B.C. before attending Boise State on an athletic scholarship. A graduate of Boise State University, Hull was drafted by the BC Lions but was traded to the Ottawa Rough Riders. He played three games with them in 1991. Unfortunately, an ACL injury cut his season short. He played one more CFL season, in 1994, suiting up with the Saskatchewan Roughriders for two more games.
