Srikkanth
Krishnamachari "Kris" Srikkanth (; ; born 21 December 1959), also known as Cheeka, is an Indian former cricketer and coach. He also serves as a cricket commentator. He was a hard-hitting opening batter and an occasional right arm offbreak bowler. He has served as a captain of the Indian cricket team and chairman of the men's selection committee later. Srikkanth was part of the Indian team that won the 1983 Cricket World Cup and top scored with 38 runs in the finals against the West Indies. He also won the 1985 World Championship of Cricket with the Indian team, in which he was the top run getter for India. He represented Tamil Nadu and South zone in Indian domestic cricket. Srikkanth made his debut for the Indian team at the age of 21 in a One Day International (ODI) against England in Ahmedabad in November 1981. His test debut came two days later at Bombay. World Championship Of Cricket
The Benson & Hedges World Championship of Cricket was part of the celebrations commemorating the 150th anniversary of European settlement in the Australian state of Victoria. It was a One Day International (ODI) tournament held in Australia from 17 February to 10 March 1985. India defeated Pakistan in the final by 8 wickets. All of the then seven Test match playing teams participated with matches played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Sydney Cricket Ground. The tournament saw the first matches played under lights at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. India were the reigning World Cup holders, having defeated West Indies in the 1983 Cricket World Cup Final, but the bookmakers installed West Indies as favourites. Anirudha Srikkanth
Anirudha Srikkanth (born 14 April 1987) is an Indian former professional cricketer. He was born in Madras; his father is cricketer Kris Srikkanth. He has played for Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. An attacking opening batsman, much like his father, Anirudha made his first-class debut in the 2003–04 season as a 16-year-old. He was in and out of the Tamil Nadu Ranji Trophy squad in the following seasons but enjoyed greater success in the limited-overs format and topped the number of runs scored for India under-19s against the touring England under-19 side in 2004–05. The 1988 Asia Cup (also known as the Wills Asia Cup) was the third Asia Cup tournament, held in Bangladesh between 26 October and 4 November 1988. The South Zone cricket team is a first-class cricket team that represents southern India in the Duleep Trophy and Deodhar Trophy. It is a composite team of players from seven first-class Indian teams from southern India competing in the Ranji Trophy: Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. The Tamil Nadu cricket team is a domestic cricket team run by Tamil Nadu Cricket Association representing the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It has been one of the most dominant teams in white-ball domestic cricket in India.
