Sri Kalahastiswara Mahatyam
''Kalahasti Mahatyam'' is a 1954 Indian Telugu-language film directed by H. L. N. Simha starring Dr. Rajkumar. This is the only non-Kannada film starring Dr. Rajkumar. It is a musical hit film with some melodious Bhakti songs written by Tholeti Venkata Reddy. The music score is provided by R. Sudarshanam and R. Goverdhanam as Associate. They are beautifully sung by Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao, M. L. Vasantha Kumari, A.M. Raja and P. Susheela. The film is a remake of the 1954 Kannada film '' Bedara Kannappa'' which also starred Rajkumar in the lead role. This film was successful in Andhra Pradesh and screened more than 100 days. Gubbi Veeranna
Gubbi Hampanna Veeranna (1891 – 1972) was an Indian theatre director. He was one of the pioneers and most prolific contributors to Kannada theatre. He established the drama company, ''Gubbi Sree Channabasaveshwara Nataka Company'', which played a crucial role in promoting the Kannada theatre field. He has been conferred the title ''Nataka Ratna'' meaning ''"A Precious Jewel" in the theatre world''. Gubbi Veeranna laid the foundation stone for the Kannada film industry. He established a studio, produced silent films in early days of cinema and produced good Kannada short films, He built theaters and introduced many actors including Dr Rajkumar, G.V Iyer, B.V Karanth, Girish Karnad and others to the Kannada film industry. ''Bhakta Kannappa'' () is a 1976 Indian Telugu-language film directed by Bapu and produced by U. Suryanarayana Raju under the Gopikrishna Movies banner. The film was inspired by the 1954 Kannada movie '' Bedara Kannappa'' which was based on the life of the Shaiva devotee, Kannappa. The film stars Krishnam Raju in the title role, along with Vanisree, M. Balaiah, Rao Gopal Rao, Sarathi, and others in supporting roles. The music was composed by Satyam, with lyrics by Arudra, C. Kalahasti Temple
The Srikalahasti Temple is located in the town of Srikalahasti in Tirupati district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Siva in his aspect as Vayu is worshipped as Kalahasteeswara. The temple is also regarded as ''Rahu-Ketu kshetra'' and ''Dakshina Kailasam''. According to regional tradition, it is said to be the site where Kannappa was ready to offer both his eyes to cover blood flowing from the Shivalinga before Shiva stopped him and granted him moksha.
