Srabani Nanda
Srabani Nanda (also Shrabani, born 7 May 1991) is an Indian woman sprint runner athlete from Odisha specialized in 4x100m relay, 100 metre and 200 metre sprint events. She belongs to Kandhamal District of Odisha. She trains in Kingston, Jamaica with MVP Track & Field Club under coach Stephen Francis. Achievements International Srabani Nanda was at the Rio Olympics 2016, in the women's 200m category. Srabani clocked 23.07 seconds at the G Kosanov Memorial Meet in Almaty 2016 to seal her berth. The qualifying mark was set at 23.20 seconds. She won a gold medal and silver medal in 200 and 100 metre sprint respectively at the 2016 South Asian Games in Assam. She also helped India win a bronze medal in women's 4x100 metre relay event of the 2010 Commonwealth Games with a timing of 45.25 seconds at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on 12 October 2010. 2017 Asian Athletics Championships
The 2017 Asian Athletics Championships was the 22nd edition of the Asian Athletics Championships. It was held from 6 to 9 July 2017 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, India. Bhubaneswar was the third Indian city to host Asian Championships. Around 560 athletes from 41 countries attended the event. The Championships were originally scheduled to be held at Ranchi, Jharkhand. After Ranchi's inability to host this event, Bhubaneswar was selected as the venue for this event. She is the first Indian to win a gold medal in 100m race in a global competition. She is the third Indian woman to ever qualify for the Women's 100 metres event at the Summer Olympic Games. Anuradha Biswal (born 28 March 1975) is an Indian former track and field athlete from Odisha who specialized in 100 metre hurdles. She previously held the national record of 13.38 seconds for 100 m hurdles, set on 26 August 2002 during the DDA-Raja Bhalendra Singh National Circuit meet held at the Nehru Stadium in Delhi. The South Asian Games (SAG or SA Games), formerly known as the South Asian Federation Games (SAFG or SAF Games), is a quadrennial multi-sport event held among the athletes from South Asia. The governing body of these games is South Asia Olympic Council (SAOC), formed in 1983. The 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games (Hindi: 2008 कॉमनवेल्थ यूथ गेम्स), officially known as the III Commonwealth Youth Games, and commonly known as Pune 2008, a regional sporting event that was held from 12 to 18 October 2008 in Pune, India, a city in the state of Maharashtra.
