Allan Sproul
Allan Sproul (March 9, 1896 – April 9, 1978) was an American banker. Widely regarded as one of the world's foremost central bankers, he served as President of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from 1941 to 1956. Biography He was born on March 9, 1896, in San Francisco, California. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and was awarded a Juris doctor, J.D. from New York University. He joined the Federal Reserve System in 1920 as head of the division of analysis and research of the San Francisco Fed. In 1930, he came to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as an assistant deputy governor and secretary, and six years later, when official titles changed, he was appointed first vice president. As one of the leading central bankers in United States history, Sproul made major contributions in solving monetary problems. William Cameron Sproul
William Cameron Sproul (September 16, 1870 – March 21, 1928) was an American politician from Pennsylvania who served as a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate from 1897 to 1919 and as the 27th governor of Pennsylvania from 1919 to 1923. He also served as chair of the National Governors Association from 1919 to 1922. Early life and education Sproul was born at John Douglass House to William Hall and Deborah Dickinson (Slokom) Sproul in Colerain Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on September 16, 1870. The family relocated to Chester, Pennsylvania, in 1883, and Sproul graduated from Chester High School in 1887. He attended Swarthmore College, was a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and graduated with honors in 1891. Sproul House a Stick Style, Victorian farm house built in 1870 in the present-day City of Norwalk in Los Angeles County, California by the founder of the city for himself and his family. Sproul Plaza is one center of student activity at the University of California, Berkeley. It is divided into two sections: Upper Sproul and Lower Sproul. They are vertically separated by and linked by a set of stairs. Sproul Observatory was an astronomical observatory owned and operated by Swarthmore College. It was located in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, United States, and named after William Cameron Sproul, the 27th Governor of Pennsylvania, who graduated from Swarthmore in 1891. The 24" telescope was moved from Sproul Observatory to Bentonville, Arkansas in July 2017. Stanley E. Sproul (March 18, 1920 – May 13, 2015) was an American politician and lawyer from Maine. Sproul, a Republican, served as Mayor of Augusta, Maine from 1971 to 1974. He simultaneously represented Augusta in the Maine House of Representatives (1973–74). When not in public office, Sproul ran a law office. In 1974, Sproul sought the Republican nomination for Governor of Maine, but lost to Maine Attorney General James Erwin. Sproul was born in 1920 in Windsor, Maine and moved to Augusta in 1932. Rose Hill Drive is an American rock band. The group is often aligned with other bands that are reviving traditional hard rock and early metal–psychedelic. Combining hard-driving rock and blues with modern touches and arrangements, they are often described by reviewers as reminiscent of 1970s rock bands Led Zeppelin and Cream. History Rose Hill Drive was formed in 2000 in Boulder, Colorado by brothers Jacob Sproul (bass guitar and vocals) and Daniel Sproul (guitar, backup vocals), and high school friend Nathan Barnes (drums). Ryan Sproul (born January 13, 1993), also known as Sipulaoer Ruian, is a Canadian-born Chinese professional ice hockey defenceman. Born in Canada, he is currently an unrestricted free agent who most recently played with HC Kunlun Red Star of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and represented China at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
