Spring Exhibition (Leningrad, 1965)
Spring Exhibition of Leningrad artists of 1965 () opened in the Exhibition Halls of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists, ''Leningrad Union of Soviet Artists'' and became one of the largest Art Exhibitions of the year in the USSR. History and Organization For the organization and preparation of the Exhibition, it was specially formed an Exhibition Committee consisting of 14 of the most authoritative art-experts of the epoch. The Exhibition Catalog had been publish and in total, the Exhibition displayed almost 600 works of art by painters, sculptors, graphic artists, theater and cinema professionals, masters of arts and crafts. At whole the Exhibition attended over 350 artists of the Leningrad. Contributing Artists In the largest Department of Painting there were exhibited art works of 177 authors. Maya Kopitseva
Maya Kuzminichna Kopitseva (; 18 May 1924 – 6 June 2005) was a Soviet Russian still-life painter and an Honored Artist of the RSFSR who lived and worked in Leningrad - Saint Petersburg. She was a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists, which before 1992 was the Leningrad branch of Union of Artists of the Russian Federation, and was regarded as one of the major representatives of the Leningrad school of painting. Biography Maya Kuzminichna Kopitseva was born on 18 May 1924 in Gagry, Abkhazia, USSR. In 1951 she graduated from the Ilya Repin Institute in Boris Ioganson's workshop and among her teachers were Boris Fogel, Leonid Ovsiannikov and Alexander Zaytsev. Dmitry Maevsky
Dmitry Ivanovich Maevsky (; 17 May 1917, in Petrograd, Russian Empire – 23 July 1992, in Saint Petersburg, Russia) was a Soviet Russian painter, lived and worked in Leningrad, a member of the Leningrad Union of Artists, regarded as one of the representatives of the Leningrad school of painting, most famous for his lyrical landscapes. Oleg Leonidovich Lomakin (; 29 August 1924 – 25 March 2010) was a Russian Soviet realist painter, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, who lived and worked in Saint Petersburg (former Leningrad). Gevork Vartanovich Kotiantz (; ; 12 November 1909 – 28 August 1996) was a Soviet Armenian painter, who lived and worked in Leningrad, regarded as one of representatives of the Leningrad school of painting.
