Contemporary Christian music, also known as CCM, Christian pop, and occasionally inspirational music is a genre of modern popular music, and an aspect of Christian media, which is lyrically focused on matters related to the Christian faith and stylistically rooted in Christian music. It was formed by those affected by the 1960s Jesus movement revival who began to express themselves in other styles of popular music, beyond the church music of hymns, gospel and Southern gospel music that was prevalent in the church at the time. Inhabited is an American contemporary Christian/rock band from Spring, Texas formed in 2003. By both their sound of music and their Christian lyrics, critics have often compared their sound to bands such as Superchic Rebecca St. James, and others. History The band's third studio album, ''Love'', was originally titled ''The Life Unfolding'' circa late 2006. In April 2007, they issued a pre-release of the album with the new name. Since then, 4 of the original 13 songs were removed and another was added. The band's official website used to have a pop-up download of a track entitled "Listen Up" with the old album name in the ID tag. In the ''Love'' track lineup, this track has been renamed "Are You With Me". Dottie Rambo (March 2, 1934 – May 11, 2008) was an American gospel singer and songwriter. She was a Grammy winning solo artist and multiple Dove award-winning artist. Along with ex-husband Buck and daughter Reba, she formed the award-winning southern Gospel group, The Rambos. She wrote more than 2,500 songs, including her most notable, "The Holy Hills of Heaven Call Me", "He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need", "We Shall Behold Him", and "I Go To the Rock". Scott Krippayne (born July 23, 1970) is an American singer and songwriter. Krippayne is better known for his contributions towards other artists, as over 150 of his songs have been recorded by others including Point of Grace, John Tesh, Avalon, Jaci Velasquez, FFH, True Vibe and Sandi Patty. Janet Paschal
Janet Paschal (born October 18, 1956) is an inspirational gospel vocalist. She has released numerous albums in that genre and has received multiple fan awards and Grammy and Dove Award nominations. She is also a songwriter and published author. In May 2019, she was inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee. Paschal was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in October, 2022. Personal life Paschal was born in Reidsville, North Carolina.
