''Sportsfriends'' is a party video game created by the Danish independent developer collective Die Gute Fabrik. It consists of four games: ''Johann Sebastian Joust'', ''Super Pole Riders'', ''BaraBariBall'', and ''Hokra''. It was released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Mac, and Linux. The game was funded through Kickstarter and received over US$150,000 from backers. ''Johann Sebastian Joust'' does not have graphics or use a monitor. Instead, players try to hold a PlayStation Move controller still while others attempt to bump their controller. Die Gute Fabrik entered the minigame into the 2012 Independent Games Festival competition. ''Pole Riders'' is a polevaulting game created by Bennett Foddy. Die Gute Fabrik
Die Gute Fabrik is an independent game developer based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded in 2008 by artist Nils Deneken, and joined by game designers Douglas Wilson and Christoffer Holmgård, the studio was afterwards led by writer Hannah Nicklin. is a series of platform fighting video games published by Nintendo. Created by Masahiro Sakurai, the ''Super Smash Bros.'' series is a crossover featuring many characters from other video game series created by Nintendo and other developers. A platform fighter is a video game genre, sub-genre of fighting games that emphasizes free 2D movement, often with floating platforms that can be traversed on, similar to a platform game, platformer game. The central gameplay involves combat between two or more player-controlled characters, with the goal of attacking an opponent's character until they are defeated. Unlike other fighting games, platform fighters typically do not have a Health (game terminology), health bar; instead, the damage that a player's character has taken increases the distance they are launched when hit by an attack. Last Man Standing (gaming)
Last man standing (LMS) or last team standing (LTS) is a multiplayer deathmatch gameplay mode featured in certain computer and video games, particularly, but not exclusively, first-person shooters, and is also the basis of battle royale games. The aim of a player in a last man standing match is to neutralize their opponents and remain the sole survivor. The basic rules followed are generally the same as a regular deathmatch mode, with one important difference being that respawn is limited or not allowed at all. Each player is assigned a specific number of lives per match (or just one when there is no respawn). Once these lives have been expended, the player is no longer able to return to the current match and remains as an invisible spectator until there is a winner and the LMS round is over.
