The Association football, football rivalry between Sporting Clube da Praia, Sporting and Boavista FC (Cape Verde), Boavista FC is considered the greatest rivalry in both Cape Verde and the island of Santiago, Cape Verde, Santiago, specifically in the city of Praia. It is one of the most significant rivalries in the nation and the region, alongside the Mindelense–Derby rivalry, Mindelo derby (or São Vicente derby), which is also a longstanding rivalry.
