Academia de Futbol Sporting San Miguelito is a Panamanian professional football team playing in Liga Panameña de Fútbol (the highest level of Panamanian football). Founded in 1989, it is based in San Miguelito District of Panamá Province. History Sporting '89 The club was founded in 1989 by Cesar Morales as a youth soccer academy called ''Sporting '89''. San Miguelito District
San Miguelito is a city and district (''distrito'') of Panamá Province in Panama. The population according to the 2000 census was 293,745; the latest official estimate (for 2019) is 375,409.Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censo, Panama. The district covers an area of 50.1 km². San Miguelito district is completely enclaved within Panama District (which completely surrounds it) and it is included in the Panama City Metropolitan Area. Football player Luis Tejada was born in San Miguelito, and both Blas Pérez and Kevin Kurányi were once residents of the district. Bryan Cortés (Panamanian Footballer)
Bryan Alfonso Cortés Carvajal (born 19 August 1991), known as Bryan Cortés, is a Chilean former footballer who played as a midfielder. Career A product of Cobreloa youth system, he signed with Universidad de Chile in 2013, being compared to the Chile international Charles Aránguiz due to his playing style. After playing for Deportes Recoleta in the 2022 season and having no offers, he retired at the beginning of 2023. However, he joined club Eléctrico Refinería from Calama for the 2023 Copa Chile alongside the former professional footballers and Nicolás Dávila. Post-retirement Subsequently, his retirement from playing, Cortés began to study Industrial engineering. Percival Piggott
Percival (, also spelled Perceval, Parzival), alternatively called Peredur (), was one of King Arthur's legendary Knights of the Round Table. First mentioned by the French author Chrétien de Troyes in the tale ''Perceval, the Story of the Grail'', he is best known for being the original hero in the quest for the Grail, before being replaced in later English and French literature by Galahad. Etymology and origin The earliest reference to Perceval is in Chrétien de Troyes's first Arthurian romance ''Erec et Enide'', where, as "Percevaus li Galois" (Percevaus of Wales), he appears in a list of Arthur's knights; in another of Chrétien's romances, '' Cligés'', he is a "renowned vassal" who is defeated by the knight Cligés in a tournament.
