Spirits (band)
Spirits is a male/female dance music duo from England, who scored two entries on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1995. Members are Osmond Wright and Beverly Thomas. Their debut single, "Don't Bring Me Down" (1994), spent two weeks at number one on the dance chart and it was followed by "Spirit Inside" (1995), which hit number twelve. Dance music is music composed specifically to facilitate or accompany dancing. It can be either a whole musical piece or part of a larger musical arrangement. Dance Club Songs is a chart published weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine in the United States. It is a national look over of club disc jockeys to determine the most popular songs being played in nightclubs across the country. It was launched as the Disco Action Top 30 chart on August 28, 1976, and became the first chart by ''Billboard'' to document the popularity of dance music. Osmond Wright, professionally known as Mozez, is a Jamaican-born and London-based singer, songwriter, and producer. He has released three studio albums, ''So Still'' (2005), ''Wings'' (2015), and ''Lights On'' (2021). Career After moving to London, his first major break as a professional artist came in 1996 when, as part of British vocal house duo Spirits, he had hits with "Don't Bring Me Down" and "Spirit Inside". In the early 2000s he became established as the male lead singer for Zero 7.
