Spirit 08 F.C.
Spirit 08 FC are an association football club based in Vanuatu. Competed in the TVL League, Vanuatu's top tier. Spirit finished in 4th place in the league in 2013/14. Spirit were represented at the 2011 Pacific Games in New Caledonia by four players, namely Rickson Tari, Rexley Tarivuti, Robert Tasso and Nikiau Filiamy. Current squad Performance in Competitions 2010 Ken Memorial Cup Results Table: Spirit had an excellent start in the competition, winning twice and drawing once without conceding a single goal in the process. Tafea F
Tafea is the southernmost of the six provinces of Vanuatu. The name is an acronym for the five main islands that make up the province: Tanna, Aneityum, Futuna, Erromango and Aniwa. History Unlike the other provinces of Vanuatu, the territorial integrity of this administrative unit has been unchanged since the times of the Condominium, when it was called ''Southern District'', or ''Tanna'' after the main island. Only the capital moved from Lenakel to nearby Isangel, less than two kilometers more southeast. A secessionist movement began in the 1970s, and the Nation of Tanna was proclaimed on 24 March 1974. While the British were more open to allowing its holdings in Vanuatu independence, it was opposed by the French colonists and finally suppressed by the Anglo-French Condominium authorities on 29 June 1974. al-Ismāʿīliyya al-khāliṣa / al-Ismāʿīliyya al-wāqifa or Seveners ( ar, سبعية) was a branch of Ismā'īlī Shīʻa. They broke off from the more numerous Twelvers after the death of Jafar al-Sadiq in 765 AD. They became known as "Seveners" because they believed that Isma'il ibn Ja'far was the seventh and last Imam (hereditary leader of the Muslim community in the direct line of Ali). Hans Renold (31 July 1852 - 2 May 1943) was a Swiss/British engineer, inventor and industrialist in Britain, who founded the Renold manufacturing textile-chain making business in 1879, and with Alexander Hamilton Church is credited for introducing scientific management also known as Taylorism to England. Biography Renold was born in Aarau, Switzerland into a burgher family of that town. He attended the polytechnic school in Zurich, then worked in a drawing office in St. Denis, Seine, France. Renold came to London, England, and soon after to Manchester, Lancashire, in 1873 at the age of 21 and found work with a firm of machinery exporters.
