Spire Peaks
Spire Peaks is a mountain located in British Columbia, Canada. Description Spire Peaks is set within Garibaldi Provincial Park and is part of the Garibaldi Ranges of the Coast Mountains. It is situated north of Vancouver and north-northwest of line parent Mamquam Mountain, with the Mamquam Icefield between the two. The southwest summit has an elevation of 2,279 meters and the northeast peak is 2,245 meters, and they are separated 500 meters apart. Topographic relief is significant as the north aspect rises 1,280 meters (4,200 feet) in two kilometers (1.2 mile). Precipitation Surface runoff, runoff and glacial meltwater from the north side of the peak drains to Pitt River, and the southern slope drains to Skookum Creek, thence Mamquam River. Mamquam Mountain
Mamquam Mountain is a mountain in the Pacific Ranges of the Coast Mountains in southwestern British Columbia, Canada, located southeast of Eanastick Meadows and east of Brackendale, British Columbia, Brackendale. It represents the highest summit of the Mamquam Icefield and lies at the southern end of Garibaldi Provincial Park. Mamquam Mountain was named on September 2, 1930, in association with the Mamquam River. Climate Based on the Köppen climate classification, Mamquam Mountain is located in the marine west coast climate zone of western North America. Most weather fronts originate in the Pacific Ocean, and travel east toward the Coast Mountains where they are forced upward by the range (Orographic lift), causing them to drop their moisture in the form of rain or snowfall. Pitt River
The Pitt River in British Columbia, Canada is a large tributary of the Fraser River, entering it a few miles upstream from New Westminster and about 25 km ESE of Downtown Vancouver. The river, which begins in the Garibaldi Ranges of the Coast Mountains, is in two sections above and below Pitt Lake and flows on a generally southernly course. Pitt Lake and the lower Pitt River are tidal in nature as the Fraser's mouth is only a few miles downstream from their confluence. The river was named for William Pitt the Younger. Two-thousanders are mountains that have a height of at least 2,000 metres above sea level, but less than 3,000 metres. Mount Garibaldi
Mount Garibaldi (, ) is a dormant stratovolcano in the Garibaldi Ranges of the Pacific Ranges in southwestern British Columbia, Canada. It has a maximum elevation of and rises above the surrounding landscape on the east side of the Cheakamus River in New Westminster Land District. Darling Peak is a mountain summit located in British Columbia, Canada. Description Darling Peak is set within Garibaldi Provincial Park and is part of the Garibaldi Ranges of the Coast Mountains. It is situated along the western edge of the Mamquam Icefield, north of Vancouver and northwest of line parent Mamquam Mountain. Orographic lift occurs when an air mass is forced from a low elevation to a higher elevation as it moves over rising terrain.
