Spider-Woman (TV Series)
''Spider-Woman'' is an American animated television series, based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew), Spider-Woman. The series was produced by DePatie–Freleng Enterprises, New World Pictures, New World International, and Marvel Comics Animation, and aired from September 22, 1979 to January 5, 1980 on American Broadcasting Company, ABC. It was DePatie–Freleng's final series before its reincorporation as Marvel Productions. Jessica Drew is Marvel's first superheroine to star in her own animated series. The ''Spider-Woman'' cartoon should not be confused with ''Web Woman'', a Filmation superheroine cartoon launched at around the same time, which reportedly prompted Marvel Comics into creating a Spider-Woman character to secure the copyright. Static Media Inc., the business name of 7Hops.com Inc., is an American internet company established in 2012, incorporated in Delaware, and based in Indianapolis. It operates ZergNet, a content recommendation business that promotes paid content across their network of brands. Most sites that the company owns use the same website model and design, sometimes dubbed " infinite scroll", whereby content is loaded continuously as the user scrolls down. For example, scrolling down on the homepage loads more articles in perpetuity (until the user reaches the very first article written for the site). ''Web Woman'' is a television series that originally aired as part of '' Tarzan and the Super 7'' by Filmation. Web Woman is the alias of Kelly Webster. Web Woman's voice was provided by actress Linda Gary. Series format Kelly is a NASA scientist turned farmer who saves the life of a tall, thin insectoid alien when he is swept into a raging river during a thunderstorm. In gratitude, the alien presents her with a special ring with a black widow "hourglass" design which grants her the powers of the entire insect kingdom. The alien proves to be an agent of the mysterious entity named Scarab, the guardian of the space station Citadel 7, who communicates with her via a huge crystal orb in the secret lair hidden in a cavern beneath her barn.
