Spica (group)
Spica (, stylized as SPICA) was a South Korean girl group formed in 2012 under B2M Entertainment. The group consists of Kim Bo-a, Park Si-hyun, Park Na-rae, Yang Ji-won and Kim Bo-hyung. Their pre-debut single "Doggedly" was released on January 10, 2012, followed by their debut mini-album, ''Russian Roulette'', on February 8, 2012. They officially disbanded on February 6, 2017, though Bohyung has confirmed a possible reunion in the future. History 2012: Debut and further releases In the beginning of 2012, B2M Entertainment announced that they would debut a girl group. Their name is a reference to Spica, the brightest star in the constellation of Virgo. On January 10, 2012, the group released their first digital single, "Doggedly" (; also translated "Potently"). "You Don't Love Me" is the fourth digital single released by South Korean pop band Spica. It was released on January 27, 2014, under B2M Entertainment with distribution through CJ E&M Music and Live. Production The single followed their August 2013 "Tonight", as well as their feature as the subject of the reality television show "Lee Hyori X Unnie". The song is a continuation of that relationship between artist and company colleague Lee Hyori. The song's lyrics were co-written with Lee Hyori and member, Kim Boa, with the original composition being completed by Lee Hyori. It marked the first single in which Lee Hyori compose, write and produce a song for Spica. The song is arranged by Kim Do-Hyun. Although a December 2013 release was scheduled, many lyrics were edited and re-recorded due to potential censorship. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. Founded in 2010, it is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. ''Allkpop'' (stylized in all lowercase) is an American website which features Korean pop and gossip news. It is one of the most trafficked K-pop news sites, with over seven and half million readers per month. In its list of useful websites, ''The Korea Herald'' called it the "fastest news breaker" for K-pop. Controversies In 2010, Tablo of Korean hip-hop trio Epik High alleged that allkpop had been sharing pirated links to the group's '' Epilogue'' album, including "a leaked music video of 'Run' and illegal streaming of all our songs" on his personal Twitter account. Tablo has since removed the posts. ''Monochrome'' (stylized in all caps) is the fifth studio album by South Korean singer-songwriter Lee Hyori. It was released on May 21, 2013, by B2M Entertainment and distributed by CJ E&M Music.
