''Master of Kung Fu'' is a comic book title published by Marvel Comics from 1974 to 1983. Publication history The character Shang-Chi first appeared in ''Special Marvel Edition'' #15 (December 1973) by Steve Englehart and Jim Starlin. Shang-Chi appeared again in issue #16, and with issue #17 (April 1974) the title was changed to ''The Hands of Shang-Chi, Master of Kung Fu''. Amidst the martial arts craze in the United States in the 1970s, the book became very popular, surviving until issue #125 (June 1983), a run including four ''Giant-Size'' issues and one ''Annual''. The series began by introducing Shang-Chi as a man raised by his father Dr. Fu Manchu to be the ultimate assassin for the would-be world conqueror. Superhero comics is one of the most common genres of American comic books. The genre rose to prominence in the 1930s and became extremely popular in the 1940s and has remained the dominant form of comic book in North America since the 1960s. Tom Grindberg (born 3 November 1961) is an American comic book illustrator. Noted for his work for Marvel and DC comics, his portfolio also includes ''2000 AD (comic), 2000 A.D. ''Marvel Comics Presents'' is an American comic book anthology title that was published in three series by Marvel Comics: from 1988 to 1995; 2007 to 2008; and in 2019. Volume 1 The first volume was released on a bi-weekly basis and lasted for 175 issues. History Silver Bullet Comicbooks In January 2000, New Zealand-based publisher/editor Jason Brice founded then named Silver Bullet Comicbooks. During this period, the site made efforts to support retired comics professionals. Howard Eugene Day (August 13, 1951 – September 23, 1982) was a Canadian comics artist best known for his work on Marvel Comics' ''Star Wars'' licensed series and ''Master of Kung Fu''.
