Sparta Youth Academy
The Sparta Youth Academy is a football youth academy based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, from where the organization manages a total of 13 youth teams (ages 7–18). The academy is the primary youth clinic of Dutch football club Sparta Rotterdam, the oldest professional football club in the Netherlands. The Academy received the four star academic sports certification, the highest possible rating for sports academies in the Netherlands, having won the best National football academy award on several occasions. Sparta Stadion Het Kasteel
The Sparta Stadion, nicknamed Het Kasteel () is a football stadium in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is the home ground of Sparta Rotterdam. It has a capacity of 11,026. History and layout The stadium is located in the neighbourhood of Spangen, where it was built in 1916 as ''Stadion Spangen'' based on a plan of the architects J.H. de Roos and W.F. Overeynder. The name "Het Kasteel" (The Castle) is derived from the small building with two small towers which backs onto the south-facing tribune (Kasteel Stand) of the stadium, which looks similar to a castle. This building is the only authentical remain of the original design. It was built in 1916. The castle building, which is currently located along the length of the pitch, was originally positioned behind one of the goals. A famous incident took place at het Kasteel in November 1970, when Feyenoord goalkeeper Eddy Treijtel took a goalkick and shot a passing seagull down from the air. Mimoun Mahi
Mimoun Mahi (born 13 March 1994) is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for club De Graafschap. He formerly played for Sparta Rotterdam, Groningen, Zürich, Utrecht and Cambuur. Born in the Netherlands, he represents Morocco at international level. Club career Mahi helped FC Groningen win the KNVB Cup in 2014–15 against defending champions PEC Zwolle. It was their first major trophy and they qualified for the UEFA Europa League. Joey Godee
Joey Godee (born 2 March 1989) is a Dutch footballer who plays for Dutch Vierde Klasse club HVC Amersfoort. Career Godee played in the youth of USV Elinkwijk, then Ajax, before making the transfer to the youth of Sparta Rotterdam in 2007. He had an impressive 2007–08 season, and thanks in part to his goals, the Sparta under-19 side won the national championship in their age group. This earned Godee his first professional contract. Anwar El Ghazi (Arabic: أنور الغازي; Riffian-Berber: ⴰⵏⵡⴰⵔ ⵍⴴⴰⵣⵉ; born 3 May 1995) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a winger for PSV and the Netherlands national team. Erik Falkenburg (born 5 May 1988) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder. Club career Born in Leiden, he came through the youth system at and made his professional debut for Sparta Rotterdam on 23 January 2008 against PSV. At Sparta he played alongside future international players Kevin Strootman and Nick Viergever. He and Viergever left the club for AZ in 2010. Lerin Duarte (born 11 August 1990) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Having come through the youth department of Sparta Rotterdam, he started his senior career at the club, before transferring to Heracles Almelo.
