Spain In The Eurovision Song Contest 2014
Spain was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Dancing in the Rain", written by Ruth Lorenzo, Jim Irvin and Julian Emery, and performed by Ruth Lorenzo herself. The Spanish participating broadcaster, (RTVE), organised the national final in order to select its entry for the contest. Five artists and songs competed in the televised show where an in-studio jury and a public televote selected "Dancing in the Rain" performed by Ruth Lorenzo as the winner. As a member of the "Big Five (Eurovision), Big Five", Spain automatically qualified to compete in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Mocedades () is a Spanish singing group from the Basque Country, who represented Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1973 with the hit song "Eres tú". Since June 2014, ''Mocedades'' has been the name of two bands: one with Izaskun Uranga as its leader and the other with Javier Garay. Antonio Juan "Tony" Sánchez-Ohlsson Vega (born 11 January 1974 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) is a Spanish music producer and songwriter. Sánchez-Ohlsson began classical music training at the age of eight. Ana Isabel Conde Sánchez (born 16 June 1975 in Fuengirola, Málaga) better known as Anabel Conde is a Spanish singer.
