Spadina—Harbourfront
Spadina—Harbourfront (formerly Spadina—Fort York) is a federal electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Spadina—Fort York was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election in October 2015. It covers most of the western portion of Downtown Toronto, and is essentially the successor of Trinity—Spadina, covering the area of that riding south of Dundas Street. It also absorbed part of the western portion of Toronto Centre. Under the 2022 Canadian federal electoral redistribution the riding was renamed Spadina—Harbourfront. 2022 Canadian Federal Electoral Redistribution
A redistribution of federal electoral districts ("ridings") began in Canada following the results of the 2021 Canadian census. The Constitution of Canada requires that federal electoral districts that compose the House of Commons undergo a redistribution of boundaries following each decennial Canadian census. The redistribution process began in October 2021; it was completed in October 2023. It is based on data obtained during the 2021 Canadian census. It is also based on the practice of giving each district only one member, which has been in effect since the 1968 election. The changes to the federal electoral district boundaries took effect for the 2025 Canadian federal election, which was the first general election called after April 22, 2024. Adam Vaughan
Adam G. Vaughan (born July 3, 1961) is a Canadian lobbyist and former politician who was the Toronto city councillor for Ward 20 Trinity—Spadina from 2006 to 2014 and the member of Parliament (MP) from 2014 to 2021. A member of the Liberal Party, Vaughan represented Spadina—Fort York and its predecessor Trinity—Spadina. In May 2025, Vaughan joined Ontario Place spa developer, Therme Group, as a spokesperson and senior advisor. Prior to entering politics, Vaughan worked as a journalist. The party was formed by Maxime Bernier in September 2018, shortly after his resignation from the Conservative Party of Canada. It is placed from the right to the far-right on the political spectrum.
