Sovereignty Council Of Sudan
The Transitional Sovereignty Council () is the collective head of state of Sudan, formed on 21 August 2019, by the August 2019 Draft Constitutional Declaration. The initial council was dissolved by its Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan in the October 2021 Sudanese coup d'état and reconstituted the following month with new membership, effectively changing it from a unity government to a military junta. Under Article 10.(b) of the Draft Constitutional Declaration, it is composed of five civilians chosen by the Forces of Freedom and Change alliance (FFC), five military representatives chosen by the Transitional Military Council (TMC), and a civilian selected by agreement between the FFC and TMC. The chair for the first 21 months was to be a military member, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and for the remaining 18 months the chair was to be a civilian member, under Article 10.(c). Sudan
Sudan, officially the Republic of the Sudan, is a country in Northeast Africa. Next Sudanese General Election
Several Sudanese election plans followed the Sudanese Revolution of 2019, starting with a plan to hold elections in July 2023 under the 2019 Draft Constitutional Declaration. The December 2022 "Framework Agreement" between civilian and military groups in Sudan scheduled a two-year transition to be followed by elections. However, since April 2023, plans for an election have been stalled due to the ongoing civil war. Northern State, Sudan
Northern ( ') is one of the 18 wilayat (states) of Sudan. It has an area of 348,765 km2 and an estimated population of 936,255. Northern Sudan was in ancient times Nubia. Mohamed Alfaki
Mohamed al-Faki Suleiman (also ''Alfaki'', ''Elfaki'', ''El Faki''; born ; ) is a Sudanese politician who was the youngest member of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan. Under Article 19 of the August 2019 Draft Constitutional Declaration, al-Faki, as is the case for the other members of the Sovereignty Council, is ineligible to run in the election scheduled to follow the 39-month transition to democracy period. The Sovereignty Council was later dissolved in October 2021 after a military coup led by Abdelfattah El Burhan in the 25th of October 2021. South Kordofan
South Kordofan ( ') is one of the 18 States of Sudan, wilayat or states of Sudan. It has an area of 158,355 km2 and an estimated population of approximately 2,107,623 people (2018 est). Kaduqli is the capital of the state. It is centered on the Nuba Hills, Nuba Mountains. At one time it was supposed that South Kordofan was the only state in (North) Sudan suitable for producing oil, but oil has also been discovered in neighboring White Nile State in larger quantities. National Consensus Forces
The National Consensus Forces (NCF, ''Ij’maa'') is a coalition of political parties in Sudan that opposed the rule of the National Congress Party, and was initially formed to stand against the NCP in the 2010 Sudanese elections. Farouk Abu Issa served as chairman from 2005 until his death in 2020. It is part of the FFC ( Forces for Freedom and Change), a wide coalition, which sought to overthrow Omar al-Bashir and to negotiate the democratic transition with the military after he was deposed. In a recent statement, the coalition called for the end of bombing campaigns against civilians in the Darfur, Blue Nile, and South Kordofan states, organized by pro-government forces. The Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party – Region of Sudan (Arabic: حزب البعث العربي الاشتراكي - وطن في السودان ''Ḥizb al-Ba‘th al-‘Arabī al-Ishtirākī - Waṭan fī al-Sūdān''), previously known as the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party – Country of Sudan, is a political party in Sudan. Siddiq Tawer Kafi (, also: ''Siddig'', ''Tower'', ''Sadeek,'' born 1959) is a physicist and member of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party – Region of Sudan who was a member of the Sovereignty Council of Sudan from 21 August 2019 to 25 October 2021. Ibrahim Jabir Karim

Shams Al-Din Khabbashi
Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabbashi (; born 1 January 1961), is a Sudanese military officer and academic. He holds the distinction of being the fifth military member of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, a significant political body formed following the ousting of President Omar al-Bashir in 2019. Yasser Al-Atta
Lieutenant General Yasser al-Atta (, ) is a Sudanese military officer who serves as the Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). al-Atta has been a member of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council since 21 August 2019, and previously served as Vice Chairman of the Transitional Military Council in 2019.
