Southern Tablelands United FC is an Australian amateur association football club based in the NSW city of Goulburn. Founded in 2017, as a joint venture between the Goulburn Strikers and Goulbourn Stags, United is affiliated with Capital Football in the ACT. Southern Tablelands currently competes in the NPL2 for men's and NPLW for women's. History Southern Tablelands United (STU) was established in 2017 as a joint venture between the Goulburn Strikers and Goulburn Stags. The new united venture partnered with STFA ( Southern Tablelands Football Association) to create the new club. The two boards of the Strikers and Stags united in an effort to provide the best pathway for elite youngsters in Goulburn and the greater Southern Tablelands region. Goulburn ( ) is a regional city in the Southern Tablelands of the Australian state of New South Wales, approximately south-west of Sydney, and north-east of Canberra. Capital Football Federation Cup
The Federation Cup is a soccer competition established in 1962 that is held between clubs who are affiliated with Capital Football in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding areas of New South Wales. It is the premier cup competition in the region. Since 2014, the Federation Cup has concurrently served as the ACT competition for the preliminary rounds of the FFA Cup, now known as the Australia Cup, with the cup winner representing the ACT. Canberra FC currently holds the record for most titles, having lifted the Cup 18 times. Cooma Tigers are the current cup holders, having lifted the Cup in 2021. 2019 Capital Football Season
The 2019 Capital Football season saw a new competition format for the top two men’s divisions in the Australian Capital Territory. The Capital League (former second division) became linked to the National Premier League (first division) with the introduction of a two-step plan to establish promotion and relegation between the two divisions, as well as a re-branding of both divisions to National Premier League 1 (NPL1) and National Premier League 2 (NPL2). The Capital Football State League is an amateur soccer league system based in the Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT) region. The league system is organised and run by Capital Football. It represents levels three and below for men in the ACT league pyramid beneath the ACT NPL 1 and Capital Premier League, and level 2 and below for women beneath the ACT NPL W. Men's structure The ACT State League men's structure is broken into fourteen leagues composed of ten All-Age State League Competitions and four age restricted Masters Competitions.
