Southern California Eagles
Southern California Eagles are an American association football, soccer team based in La Mirada, California. Founded in 2001 as the Southern California Seahorses, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. They also field a team in the Women's Premier Soccer League. The team plays its home games in the stadium on the campus of Whittier College. The team's colors are navy blue, white and orange. The Eagles are a division of Missionary Athletes International (MAI), an organization which undertakes sports ministry to share the message of Christianity through the environment of soccer. They are a sister organization of the Charlotte Eagles in USL League Two. USL-1
The USL First Division (USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the second tier of the United States league system. It was organized by the United Soccer League as its premier league for men from 1996 to 2010, above the USL Second Division. It began in the 1996 season as the Select League – consisting 21 of the league's best third-tier clubs. It soon merged with the American Professional Soccer League to become the A-League in the 1997 season. It adopted its final name in the 2005 season, following a restructure of the USL. Eric David Reed (born December 7, 1983) is an American soccer player. Career College and amateur Reed grew up in Laguna Hills, California, and attended Laguna Hills High School, where he was a four-year starter. During this time, he received a handful of United States U-18 caps. After high school, he attended UCLA where he redshirted his freshman year. The following year he appeared in four games and continued his good form earning an additional 16 games in his second year. He was a consistent first team starter over the next two years. Joshua Randolph Hansen (born January 16, 1982, in Phoenix, Arizona) is an American-born Puerto Rican international football player. Career College Hansen attended Greenway High School and played four years of college soccer at the University of San Francisco, where he won several honors and his exploits included a hat-trick against Saint Mary's College. Professional Hansen spent 2005 with the championship-winning Seattle Sounders of the USL First Division, but saw little playing time. BYU Cougars men's soccer is an American soccer team based in Provo, Utah, United States. The club has won eleven NIRSA national championships, and it is the only university sponsored soccer program to have ever purchased a franchise, competing in the Premier Development League (now known as USL League Two) from 2003 to 2017. Anthony Stovall (born February 21, 1982) is a former professional United States, American soccer player. Career College and amateur Stovall grew up in Columbia, South Carolina, attended Ridge View High School, and played College soccer in the United States, college soccer at the University of South Carolina. California Gold was an American soccer team which began playing under the Gold moniker in 2002. The club was founded in 1997 as the Stanislaus County Cruisers. The team was a member of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2006, when the team left the league and the franchise was terminated.
