Southampton Football Club Women is an English Women's association football, women's football club affiliated with Southampton F.C., Southampton FC. Based in Southampton, the club plays in the Women's Super League 2 in the 2023–24 Women's Championship, 2024–25 season after winning promotion from the FA Women's National League South in 2022. History Other clubs In 1970, Southampton Women's F.C. was formed by female fans of the men's Southampton F.C., Southampton, but the two clubs were unaffiliated. Southampton Women's F.C. went on to great success in England, winning the Women's FA Cup, WFA Cup (now Women's FA Cup) eight times. St Mary's Stadium
St Mary's Stadium is a seated but also safe-standing football stadium in Southampton, Hampshire, England, which has been the home stadium of club Southampton since 2001. The stadium has a capacity of 32,384 and is currently the largest football stadium in South East England. 2021–22 FA Women's National League
The 2021–22 FA Women's National League was the 31st season of the competition, and the fourth since a restructure and rebranding of the top four tiers of English football by The Football Association. Starting in 1991, it was previously known as the FA Women's Premier League. It sits at the third and fourth levels of the women's football pyramid, below the FA Women's Championship and above the eight regional football leagues. The league featured six regional divisions: the Northern and Southern Premier divisions at level three of the pyramid, and Division One North, Division One Midlands, Division One South East, and Division One South West at the fourth level. Emma Harries (born 29 March 2002) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Women's Super League club West Ham United. Early life Harries was born in England. She joined Reading's academy at age 8 and began playing for the U-9's team; she remained at the academy until she was promoted to the first team. Aimee Rose Palmer (born 25 July 2000) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Women's Championship club Southampton. She has previously played for Manchester United, Sheffield United and Bristol City in the Championship, and has represented England at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level. Fran Stenson (born 27 April 2001) is an English footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Women's Championship club Southampton and the England under-23 team. Rachel Susan Rowe (born 13 September 1992) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a forward for Women's Championship club Southampton and the Wales national team.
