Santa Teresa is a neighborhood of San Jose, California, United States, located in South San Jose. Founded in 1834, Santa Teresa was originally established as Rancho Santa Teresa by the Bernal family, a prominent Californio clan. Edenvale Gardens Regional Park (originally Edenvale Garden Park) is a city park in San Jose, California, occupying in the Edenvale, San Jose, Edenvale neighborhood. The site originally was developed by Rudolph Ulrich as the formal park adjoining Hayes Mansion starting from approximately 1887. In 1954, the mansion and property was sold; the site next was used for the Frontier Village amusement park between 1961 and 1980, and when that park closed, approximately half the land was redeveloped into housing, with the rest preserved as the present-day city park after San Jose purchased the remaining land in 1987. Almaden Quicksilver County Park is a 4,163 acres (17 km2) park that includes the grounds of former mercury ("quicksilver") mines adjacent to south San Jose, California, USA. The park's elevation varies greatly: the most used entrances (on the east side of the park) are less than 600 feet (183 m) above sea level, while the highest point in the park is over 1,700 feet (518 m) above sea level. The park is owned by the County of Santa Clara and managed by the Santa Clara County Parks and Recreation Department. Guadalupe River Trail
The Guadalupe River Trail is an pedestrian and bicycle path in the city of San Jose, California. The path runs along the banks of the Guadalupe River. The trail is currently composed of two discontinuous segments: a shorter "upper" segment in the Almaden Valley neighborhood of San Jose and a longer "lower" segment through Downtown San Jose to Alviso. This trail is heavily used for both recreation and commuting, as it provides direct access to Downtown San Jose from many of the outlying neighborhoods. The trail is paved. Almaden station is a disused light rail station on the VTA light rail system. This station was formerly the southern terminus of VTA's Ohlone/Chynoweth–Almaden line, popularly known as the Almaden Shuttle. Location Almaden station is located near Winfield Boulevard and Coleman south of Blossom Hill in southern San Jose, California. It consists of an island platform, but only one of the two tracks was used in service. History First opened in 1991, the station had ongoing issues with extremely low ridership levels which led to its eventual closure in 2019.
