Soulé (singer)
Samantha Kay, known professionally as Soulé (Stylised as SOULÉ, born 4 January 1995), is an Irish singer-songwriter who was born in London but raised in Dublin. Early life Soulé was born Samantha Kay in London, England to Congolese parents from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The family moved to Ireland and settled in Balbriggan, County Dublin when Soulé was 12. She attended the Loreto school in Balbriggan. She auditioned for ''The X Factor (British TV series), The X-Factor'' in the UK at age 16, but did not progress through to the television show. In her early years, she was involved in music and performing arts in the Foróige youth club in the town, and was mentored by Messiah J. She was involved in organising the Nitrogen music festival in the town. She received a degree in Tourism from the Dublin Institute of Technology. Cian Ducrot (born 30 August 1997) is a Grammy Award-winning Irish singer-songwriter. He rose to prominence with his single " All for You", which gained popularity in 2022 via TikTok and reaching number 2 in the Irish Singles Chart and peaked at number 19 on the UK Singles Chart. His following single, " I'll Be Waiting", peaked at number 6 in Ireland and number 16 in the UK. Early life Ducrot grew up in Passage West in Cork, Ireland, where his mother was a concert pianist and flautist. Ducrot joined musicals and drama clubs during his school years. His mother is French and his father is Irish. He won a scholarship to Wells Cathedral School, a specialist music school in the county of Somerset. "Dreams" is the debut single of Irish rock band the Cranberries. It was originally released in October 1992, by Island Records, and later appeared on the band's debut album, ''Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?'' (1993). The song reached the top 50 of the US Hot 100 and the top 30 of the UK Singles Chart in early 1994. A 1990 demo version was released in Ireland only in the summer of that year under their initial band name, the Cranberry Saw Us. At the end of the song, the backing vocals are sung by Mike Mahoney, ex-boyfriend of Cranberries lead singer Dolores O'Riordan. Longitude Festival
Longitude Festival is a music festival that takes place during July every year in Dublin, Ireland. Since 2013, Marlay Park has been home to the festival. It is organised by MCD Productions and Festival Republic. When the festival first started in its early years the line up was mostly bands and singer songwriters such as Phoenix (French band), Phoenix, Kodaline, and Sam Smith. As the festival evolved in later years it mostly consisted of hip hop artists such as Stormzy, Travis Scott, and Ski Mask the Slump God. There are multiple bars around the festival owned by Heineken, Bacardi, and Red Bull. Around the venue multiple food stalls can be found with a wide variety of food and drink. There is also the Longitude Lounge which is sponsored by Coca-Cola and is accessible by VIP ticket holders.
