Soulshine
''Soulshine'' is the fifth studio album by French DJ and recording artist DJ Cam, released in 2002. ''Soulshine'' marks a departure from DJ Cam's regular sound, however the tracks still feature his trademark mix of hip-hop and jazz elements. As a whole, ''Soulshine'' is a cohesive collection of relaxed, lounge-type music. The jazzy, vibrant melodies (that incorporate for example flutes) are put on top of hard hitting, steady beats. ''Soulshine'' features appearances from such American rappers as Afu-Ra and Gang Starr's Guru (credited as Baldheaded Slick). Keeping it real came with the help of Cameo. Anggun Cipta Sasmi (; (born 29 April 1974), known mononymously as Anggun, is an Indonesian-French singer, songwriter, and television personality. Born in Jakarta, she began performing at the age of seven and recorded a children's album two years later. She rose to fame in 1989 as a teenage rock star and by 1993 she had released five Indonesian-language studio albums and a soundtrack album to the Indonesian film ''Si Roy'' (1989). Laurent Daumail (born 1973), better known by his stage name DJ Cam, is a French record producer. Daumail's music is largely rooted in hip hop, combined with elements of jazz, dub, and ambient and composed using samples. Hip-hop or hip hop (originally disco rap) is a popular music genre that emerged in the early 1970s from the African-American community of New York City. Aaron Ocosice Phillip (born January 31, 1974), known professionally as Afu-Ra, is an American rapper. Gang Starr was an American Hip-hop, hip hop duo, consisting of Houston-born record producer DJ Premier and Boston-based rapper Guru (rapper), Guru. Keith Edward Elam (July 17, 1961April 19, 2010), better known by his stage name Guru (a backronym for Gifted Unlimited Rhymes Universal), was an American rapper, record producer and actor. Cameo is an American funk band that formed in 1974. Cameo was initially a 14-member group known as the New York City Players; this name was later changed to Cameo.
