Souls Harbor
Souls Harbor was an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band based in Beaufort, South Carolina, Beaufort, South Carolina. The band originated on the ''USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67)'', while Doug Marshall (musician), Doug Marshall, Jonathan Fenin and Rob Cadiz were in the United States Marine Corps. They formed the band in late 1999 while on cruise in the Persian Gulf. The band won the 2002 and 2003 South Carolina/Georgia Battle of the Bands. They released their first full-length album, ''Writing on the Wall (Souls Harbor album), Writing on the Wall'', in 2006, signed under the record label Crash Music Inc. The album was produced by Shinedown's bassist, Eric Bass. ''Writing on the Wall'' was compared to material by the alternative metal band, Sevendust. "Sevendust are a definite influence; 'For Me,' for example, packs a funky alterna-metal punch that has Sevendust written all over it," wrote Alex Henderson for AllMusic. Bullet for My Valentine, often abbreviated as BFMV, are a Welsh heavy metal band from Bridgend, formed in 1998. The band is currently composed of Matthew Tuck (vocals, rhythm guitar), Michael Paget (lead guitar), Jason Bowld (drums) and Jamie Mathias (bass). Former members include Michael Thomas, Jason James and Nick Crandle; the latter were on bass. He is the guitarist and backing vocalist for South African rock band Seether, and a former member of Saint Asonia, Stuck Mojo, Stereomud, Eye Empire, and Dark New Day. Eric Bass (born William Frederic Bass Jr., October 23, 1974) is an American musician and record producer. He has been the bassist of the rock band Shinedown since 2008. Personal life Bass was born into a conservative, and very musical family, and was encouraged to sing and play piano from an early age. At 13 he received a trombone, before moving onto guitar the following Christmas.
