Sotiris Kaiafas
Sotirios Kaiafas ( Greek: Σωτήριος Καϊάφας; born 17 December 1949) is a retired Cypriot footballer who is considered to be the best footballer that Cyprus has ever produced. He played for Omonia and Cyprus. During his career at Omonia, he won the European Golden Boot. Club career Kaiafas played for a local club in Mia Milia, called Prodoos. He joined Omonia in 1965, and in 1967 he debuted for Omonia's senior team, joining the youth team at the age of 16. Soon he established himself as one of the most prolific strikers Omonia had ever employed, but it was not until the early 1970s that he served notice of his talent. In the 1971–72 season, Kaiafas became for first time leading scorer in Cyprus with 12 goals, a tally that helped Omonia to their third domestic title. It was the start of a successful partnership. Mia Milia
Haspolat or Mia Milia (Greek language, Greek: Μια Μηλιά or Μία Μηλιά, literally 'One Apple tree') is an industrialised village and an eastern suburb of North Nicosia in Cyprus. As a result of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, Turkish invasion of Cyrpus, is under the ''de facto'' control of Northern Cyprus. The Cyprus International University and the new Nicosia water treatment plant are located within its boundaries. Mia Milia is recorded as early as the early 13th century in papal documents. In 1973, Mia Milia had an all-Greek Cypriot population of 1,381. As of 2011, it had a population of 4,204, comprising Turkish Cypriots and Turkish nationals. 1980–81 Cypriot First Division
The 1980–81 Cypriot First Division was the 42nd season of the Cypriot top-level football league. Omonia won their 10th title. Format Fourteen teams participated in the 1980–81 Cypriot First Division. All teams played against each other twice, once at their home and once away. The team with the most points at the end of the season crowned champions. The last two teams were relegated to the 1981–82 Cypriot Second Division. The champions ensured their participation in the 1981–82 European Cup and the runners-up in the 1981–82 UEFA Cup. Olympiakos Nicosia
Olympiakos Nicosia (, ''Olympiakos Lefkosias'') is a Cypriot football club based in Nicosia and competes in the . The club was founded in 1931, and is a founding member of the Cyprus Football Association. The club colors are black and green. Olympiakos' home ground is the new GSP Stadium, which has a 23,000-seat capacity. The team's main nickname is "mavroprasini" (the green-blacks), and the club's other nickname is Taktakalas, derived from the area of Nicosia where the club hails from. Kostas Kaiafas
Kostas Kaiafas (; born 22 September 1974 in Nicosia) is a Cypriot former football player and manager. As a player, he was a midfielder for Omonia and Alki Larnaca. He was the captain of Omonia and the second longest servant in the history of the club, only five appearances short of becoming Omonoia's all-time record holder. Playing career Kaiafas came through the AC Omonia academies, playing at first as a right midfielder but then moving to the centre as a defensive midfielder. 2008–2009 was his last season with Omonia, as manager Takis Lemonis let him know that he is no longer included in his squad, and decided to announce his retirement from the team in June 2009. His final game with Omonia was a friendly match against the Lithuanian champions Ekranas, on 7 July 2009.
