Soslan Ramonov
Soslan Lyudvikovich Ramonov ( os, Рæмонаты Людвичы фырт Сослан; russian: Сослан Людвикович Рамонов; born 1 January 1991 in Tskhinval) is a retired, Russian freestyle wrestler of Ossetian origin. He is a 2016 Olympic gold medalist. In 2014 he won a national and a world title in the -65 kg category. He is coached by Anatoly Margiyev and his uncle, Stanislav Ramonov. His elder brother Alan and cousin Hamlet are also competitive wrestlers. In the final match of the Alexander Medved International tournament he beat the current World Champion Frank Chamizo of Italy. At the 2016 Olympics he beat Toghrul Asgarov Toghrul Shahriyar oghlu Asgarov (; born on September 17, 1992, Ganja, Azerbaijan) is an Azerbaijani wrestler. Wrestling World Cup
Wrestling World Cup is an international wrestling competition among teams representing member nations of the United World Wrestling (UWW) the sport's global governing body. The cups have been conducted by FILA (the UWW predecessor) every year since the 1973 tournament. The World Cup began as a dual-meet competition for the top teams on each continent, but now features the top teams in the rankings of the previous year's world championships. Two individual competitions under the same name were held in 1956 and 1958 before establishing the current World Cup comeptition in 1973. beside that UWW had another competition called Individual World Cup as a replacement event for the 2020 World Championships. European Cadets Wrestling Championships
The European Wrestling Championships is the second oldest international wrestling competition of the modern world and the main wrestling championships in Europe. It predates World Wrestling Championships and other regional wrestling championships and is second only to the wrestling events at the Olympics. From its inception in 1898 till 1927 only Greco-Roman wrestling was contested. Since 1929 separate freestyle wrestling events were held as well. Since 1970 the two Olympic wrestling styles were contested together during the same unified events. Since 1973 Sambo wrestling was included into the championships programme along with GR and freestyle wrestling (subsequently discontinued and from 1983 contested separately). Aleksandr Vasiliyevich Medved (born 16 September 1937) is a Ukrainian-born Soviet Belarusian retired freestyle wrestler who competed for the Soviet Union and was named "one of the greatest wrestlers in history" by FILA, the sport's governing body. Between 1962 and 1972 he won three Olympic gold medals, seven world and three European titles. He served as the Olympic flag bearer for the Soviet Union in 1972, for Belarus in 2004 and recited the Judge's Oath at the Opening Ceremony of the 1980 Olympics. World Military Championships
The World Military Championships (WMC) are the world championships of the military sports, regularly organized by the Conseil International du Sport Militaire, in each of the 26 disciplines of the sport military. History CISM had its roots in World War II. Eighty-two free world nations competed in about 24 different sports. The United States participates in 12 of those sports. Athletes who have done well at the interservice championships, national and international level are invited into a CISM training camp, which operates much like military training camps.
