Sorrows (album)
''Sorrows'' is the debut studio album by Scottish gothic doom band Cwfen. It was released on 30 May 2025, through New Heavy Sounds. Mastered by James Plotkin, it consists of ten tracks with a total runtime of approximately forty-three minutes. Seven tracks range between four and six minutes each, while the remaining three "Fragment" tracks are under a minute each. The album was produced by Kevin Hare and the band, composed of lead vocalist Agnes Alder, guitarist Guy DeNuit, drummer Rös Ranquinn, and bassist Mary Thomas Baker. The first single, "Reliks", was released on 1 November 2024. It was followed by "Wolfsbane", the second single, on 11 March 2025. Post-punk (originally called new musick) is a broad genre of music that emerged in late 1977 in the wake of punk rock. Post-punk musicians departed from punk's fundamental elements and raw simplicity, instead adopting a broader, more experimental approach that encompassed a variety of avant-garde sensibilities and non-rock influences. Inspired by punk's energy and do it yourself ethic but determined to break from rock cliches, artists experimented with styles like funk, electronic music, jazz, and dance music; the music production, production techniques of dub music, dub and disco; and ideas from art and politics, including critical theory, modernist art, Film, cinema and modernist literature, literature. These communities produced independent record labels, visual art, multimedia performances and fanzines. ''Decibel'' is a monthly heavy metal magazine published by the Philadelphia-based Red Flag Media since September 2004. It is currently the only monthly metal music magazine published in North America. Its sections include Upfront, Features, Reviews, Guest Columns and the Decibel Hall of Fame. Tidal (stylized TIDAL) is a Norwegian-American music streaming service, launched in 2014 by the Norwegian-Swedish public company Aspiro.
