The first season of ''Drag Race France'' premiered on June 25, 2022. The cast was announced on June 2, 2022. The winner of the first season of ''Drag Race France'' was Paloma, with La Grande Dame and Soa de Muse as runners-up. Casting occurred in end 2021 with production starting in early 2022. On March 4, 2022, it was announced that the judges panel would include RuPaul's Drag Race season 12 contestant Nicky Doll, TV host and columnist Daphné Bürki and DJ and dancer Kiddy Smile. The season consisted of eight one-hour episodes. The season was broadcast on the digital channel France.tv Slash every Thursday, but also aired on France 2 every Saturday night. Nicky Doll
Karl Sanchez (born 14 March 1991), known by the stage name Nicky Doll, is a French drag queen, television personality, and musician based in New York City. He is best known as the main host of ''Drag Race France'' and a competitor on the twelfth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Sanchez co-created, co-wrote, and stars in '' Les Voyages de Nicky'', a documentary that explores gender expression, the art of drag, and LGBT activism in different countries. Early life Sanchez was born on March 14, 1991, in Marseille, France, but also travelled quite a bit as a child, living in St. Martin and Morocco. His mother is Spanish. Lolita Banana is the stage name of Esteban Inzúa, a Mexican drag performer who competed on the Drag Race France (season 1), first season of ''Drag Race France''. In 2023, she was announced as the co-host of ''Drag Race México.'' Career Inzúa discovered drag while working as a dancer in 2018. He has performed at le Café de Paris and the B Boat, among other venues. Inzúa competed as Lolita Banana on the first season of ''Drag Race France''. She was the first contestant born in Mexico to compete in a Drag Race (franchise), ''Drag Race'' series. She shaved her head during one lip sync battle, and ultimately placed in the top four. ''Drag Race France All Stars'' is an upcoming French reality competition television series based on the American spin-off series ''RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars''. The series documents drag queen Nicky Doll as host and head judge, and is set to premiere on 10 July 2025. The upcoming series is co-produced by Endemol France, Shake Shake Shake, and World of Wonder. It marks as the second overall adaptation of the ''All Stars'' franchise, after the Spanish iteration.
