Headsparks
''Headsparks'' is the debut studio album by the American indie rock band Seam, released in 1992 by Homestead Records. Composition and music Music journalist Andrew Earles characterized the album's tracks as "fuzzed-out downer anthems," calling them "a sort of advanced version of the melodic attention-getters that countered the less friendly, aggressive material on Bitch Magnet albums." According to Ned Raggett of AllMusic, "There's hints of Pixies, the Louisville underground, the incipient Merge scene, and even a touch of Neil Young's storming melancholia, resulting in a blend that's at once powerful, heartfelt, and anthemic almost in spite of itself." He described the album's opening track "Decatur" as "emotional" but "not 'emo' in any sense of the word." The album's style has drawn comparisons to David Gedge and the Wedding Present. Raggett described the singing performance of Sooyoung Park on the album as "vary ngbetween the murky and somewhat more straightforward," and chara ...

The Numero Group
The Numero Group is an archival record label that creates compilations of previously released music, reissues original albums, and creates album reconstructions from a variety of musical genres. The label, known as Numero, was founded in 2003 by Rob Sevier, Ken Shipley (a former A&R manager for the equally eclectic Rykodisc label), and Tom Lunt. In 2013, Numero became part of a partnership with Secretly Label Group. History The label's first release, Eccentric Soul: The Capsoul Label, was a reissue of rare soul and R&B music originally released by the defunct Capsoul label, which was founded in Columbus, Ohio, by William Roger "Bill" Moss. It features a different lineup compared to the group's previous album, ''Ramadan'' (2000). Beggars Banquet Records
Beggars Banquet Records is a British independent record label. Beggars Banquet started as a chain of record shops owned by Martin Mills and Nick Austin and is part of the Beggars Group of labels. History In 1977, spurred by the prevailing DIY aesthetics of the British punk rock movement (then at the height of its popularity), Martin Mills and Nick Austin founded a record label to release records under the Beggars Banquet imprint. The first band on the label was the English punk group the Lurkers; the first release on the label was the Lurkers' 7" single "Shadow"/"Love Story". They also released the first solo "Duffo" album from Australian big-band vocalist Jeff Duff. Later in the decade and into the early 1980s, hits with Tubeway Army and Gary Numan secured the label's future. Other bands who were signed to the label include the Associates, Bauhaus, the Cult, Biffy Clyro, Flesh for Lulu, Gene Loves Jezebel, the Icicle Works and the Go-Betweens. See also * List of rec ...

The Pace Is Glacial
''The Pace Is Glacial'' is the fourth and final studio album by American indie rock band Seam. It was released in 1998 on Touch and Go Records. Critical reception The ''Chicago Tribune'' wrote that Seam "distills its no-frills guitar rock into a tight collection of creeper melodies and haunting ruminations on who-knows-what that are nonetheless emotionally resonant." ''The Sunday Times'' thought that "while tiny fragments of noise circle the peripheries of 'Little Chang' and 'The Prizefighters', there's always a moment when the weirdness coalesces into an irresistible rock riff."
