Sookha
''Bara'' ( ) is a directed and produced by M. S. Sathyu. It is based on the novel of same name by U. R. Ananthamurthy. Simultaneously shot in Kannada and Hindi, the film starred Anant Nag, C. R. Simha and Loveleen Madhu in lead roles. The film won many laurels upon release including the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada for its script of an incisive analysis of the socio-political situation in a drought affected district. The film went on floors in 1980 and made its theatrical release in 1982. The Hindi version of the film ''Sookha'' was released in 1983. However, unlike the Kannada version, the film could not get a theatrical release, and was shown on Doordarshan. Filmfare Critics Award For Best Movie
The Filmfare Critics Award for Best Film is awarded during annual Filmfare Awards, given by the Filmfare magazine. The awards are the oldest and most prominent film awards given for Hindi films in India. The yearly awards started in 1954. Movie awards were first given by popular vote. Pankaj Dheer
Pankaj Dheer is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi films and TV series. He is known for his role of Karna in TV series ''Mahabharat'' and other roles in '' Chandrakanta'', ''The Great Maratha'', '' Yug'' and '' Badho Bahu''. He appeared in several Hindi films in small roles, including '' Sadak'', ''Soldier'' and '' Baadshah''. Personal life Dheer has a son, Nikitin Dheer, who is also an actor. Nikitin married Kratika Sengar. Career In 1988, Dheer played the role of Karna in B. R. Chopra's epic television series ''Mahabharat''. He was popularised after playing Karan. Anant Nag
Anant Nagarkatte (born 4 September 1948) is an Indian actor whose predominant contribution has been in Kannada cinema. He has acted in over 300 films which include over 250 Kannada films and few films in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam and English languages. He has featured in theatre plays, parallel cinema and television shows. Nag made his feature film debut through ''Sankalpa'' (1973) directed by Prof. P.V Nanjaraj Urs.
