Sonja Pekkola
Sonja Pekkola (born 23 May 1993) is a Finnish badminton player. She started playing badminton since 10 years old at her hometown, then in 2012 she joined Finnish national badminton team. She won Finnish National Championships women's singles title in 2013, and six consecutive women's doubles title from 2014–2019. She won the international title at the 2016 Hellas Open in the women's doubles with Jenny Nyström. Espoo
Espoo (, ; sv, Esbo) is a city and municipality in the region of Uusimaa in the Republic of Finland. Jenny Nyström (badminton)
Jenny Nyström (born 2 February 1994) is a Finnish badminton player, specializing in doubles play. She started playing badminton at 6 years old, then in 2009, she joined the national team. In 2013, she won the Estonian International and Irish International tournaments in mixed doubles event with her partner Anton Kaisti. In 2015, she became the runner-up of Hellas International in women's doubles event with Mathilda Lindholm. In 2016, she won Hellas Open in the women's doubles and runner-up in the mixed doubles. Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport played using racket (sports equipment), racquets to hit a shuttlecock across a net (device), net. Although it may be played with larger teams, the most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side). Badminton is often played as a casual outdoor activity in a yard or on a beach; formal games are played on a rectangular indoor court. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations (Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales).
