''Sonic Syndicate'' is the fifth studio album by Swedish metalcore band Sonic Syndicate. It is the first album by the band to not feature former members Richard and Roger Sjunnesson. The album features guest appearance from Björn "Speed" Strid of Soilwork on the track "Before You Finally Break", marking as the first time the band has collaborated with another artist on a studio album. It is the final album to feature long-time bassist Karin Axelsson and drummer John Bengtsson. Singles On May 16, 2014, the band released the album's first single, entitled "Black Hole Halo". Sonic Syndicate
Sonic Syndicate is a Swedish metalcore band from Falkenberg. They were formerly influenced by Swedish melodic death metal bands such as In Flames and Soilwork and American metalcore bands like Killswitch Engage and All That Remains. The band was founded in 2002 by brothers and songwriters Richard and Roger Sjunnesson (screamed vocals and guitars respectively) with their younger cousin Robin Sjunnesson (guitars) under the name Fallen Angels. They switched to Sonic Syndicate in 2005. The "classic" line-up from 2006 to 2009 included the Sjunnessons with Roland Johansson (clean vocals), Karin Axelsson (bass) and John Bengtsson (drums). Today the band consists of Robin (now the only original member) alongside British singer Nathan J. Biggs and bass player Michel Bärzén. Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. Alternative Metal
Alternative metal (also known as alt-metal) is a genre of heavy metal music that combines heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal. Alternative metal bands are often characterized by heavily downtuned, mid-paced guitar riffs, a mixture of accessible melodic vocals and harsh vocals and sometimes unconventional sounds within other heavy metal styles. Nuclear Blast is a record label and mail order record distributor with subsidiaries in Germany, the United States and Brazil. The label was founded in 1987 by Markus Staiger in Germany. ''We Rule the Night'' is the fourth studio album by Swedish metalcore band Sonic Syndicate. The album was released on August 27, 2010 through Nuclear Blast and was produced by Toby Wright. ''We Rule the Night'' is the first full-length release by the band to feature the vocals of Nathan James Biggs (former Hollow Earth Theory singer) who replaced former singer Roland Johansson who left the band in 2009. However, it is also the last album to feature founding members Richard and Roger Sjunnesson, who both left the band in October 2010 and May 2012 respectively. The band toured Europe to support the album with the "We Rule the World Tour", starting on September 15, 2010 with Christoffer Andersson standing in for Richard. Soilwork is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Helsingborg. They are signed to Nuclear Blast. Formed in late 1995 by Björn Strid and Peter Wichers, originally under the name ''Inferior Breed'', the band changed their name in late 1996 to Soilwork (meaning "working from the ground up").
