Song Yuqi
Song Yuqi (, ko, 송우기; born September 23, 1999), known mononymously as Yuqi ( ko, 우기), is a Chinese singer, songwriter, record producer and dancer. She is active as a soloist in China and is a part of the South Korean girl group (G)I-dle, which debuted in 2018. She was one of the cast members for the Chinese variety show ''Keep Running'' in 2019 and 2021, and the main host on KakaoTV reality show '' Learn Way'' (2020–2021). Early life Song Yuqi was born on September 23, 1999, in Beijing, China. She attended Beijing 101 Middle School. Career Pre-debut In 2015, Song attended the Cube Star World Audition Beijing Station, performing CLC's "High Heels" and G.E.M.'s "Bubble". It was released on May 2, 2018, by Cube Entertainment and distributed by Kakao M. It was written by member Soyeon, who also produced the song alongside Big Sancho. "Dumdi Dumdi" (Hangul: 덤디덤디; RR: Deomdi Deomdi, stylized as "DUMDi DUMDi") is a song recorded by South Korean girl group (G)I-dle, released on August 3, 2020, by Cube Entertainment and Republic Records as the lead single of the group's single album of the same name. It was written by member Soyeon, who also produced the song alongside Pop Time who has produced many of Zico and Block B's songs. "Dumdi Dumdi" was described as (G)I-dle's style of a summer dance song. Musically, it is a tropical-based rhythm with moombahton song featuring lyrics that evoke 'hot, cold, passion and excitement' that are reminiscent of summer and youth.
